Epicurean Pizza Cutter Series - Natural/Slate

In the past, I’ve used a mix of round pizza wheel cutters and other large bowed cutters and I’ve been disappointed with every one of them. The round pizza wheels oftentimes push the toppings or drag the cheese across the pizza resulting in a mess and impacting the presentation of your delicious perfectly baked pizza. Other large bowed cutters oftentimes have wooden handles riveted to the steel blade. This makes it more difficult to clean and the wood can be damaged if gone through the dishwasher.My first Epicurean product was the pizza board. After getting a chance to use it and admiring its, sturdiness, simplicity, and ease of cleaning, I decided to purchase the matching pizza cutter as well.I cannot I’ve been more impressed. Despite the blade not being made of metal, it cuts easily, and even more important, cleans easier. I have since thrown out all of my other pizza cutters.Pros:- It is super easy to clean.- Cuts the pizza smoothly in one motion.- Does not push the toppings around.- Complements the look of other Epicurean products.- Not so sharp that you would be concerned about a child hurting themselves on it.- Dishwasher safe.Cons:- NoneWould I recommend it to a friend? My husband and I LOVE this pizza cutter! I usually used scissors to cut pizza because I HATED using a traditional pizza cutter or a knife. They would never slice it completely. This is so easy to use. I'm only five feet tall, so it's hard for me to get leverage on the counter and put a lot of pressure things to cut them. I don't have to do that with this. We got one for my parents who never like ANYTHING and they use it too! You can't go wrong with this purchase!

Positive reviews from buyers overrode my skepticism about this style of slicer. I gave the 16-inch / 46-cm size Epicurean Pizza Cutter a try after years of using rollers with varying results. It works efficiently and easily, even on pizzas with diameters greater than the length of the cutter. (Just apply the cutter twice along the same line to complete a cut across the entire pie.) I like the natural look of the compressed material, which is light-weight but sturdy and has a functional edge that also isn't dangerously sharp. I have found that the cutter washes/rinses off quickly and easily by hand. After use, the hole in one end of the cutter allows me to hang it on the same kitchen hook with my potholders and a cutting board. I highly recommend the Epicurean Pizza Cutter.

I use it to cut the dough when I make my crackers on a non-stick pan. I works great and never damages my pan.

We have had this for a few years now. I got it for my pizza loving husband. We have a few Epicurean boards/products and they are wonderful after multiple uses and still look new after having for a few years. I like that this is easy to clean and not too sharp like trying to clean some pizza cutters. Will continue to buy Epicurean items.

This thing is great. When cutting pizza, this makes it a lot easier to cut evenly sized pieces since I can eye what the size is going to look like before I slice down (and even portions are important when you've got kids). I was a bit worried when I first bought it because of all the reviews that say they had a difficult time cutting thin crust pizza, but I haven't had any issues. I don't have to push down overly hard either. I don't think there is anything bad I can say about this product. It works well, cleans up easily, and looks great hanging next to my stove.UPDATE: Almost 2 years later, I am still using this cutter, and we have pizza a lot. I'd say we've used this product an average of twice a week for these 2 years, and it still works great. This cutter deserves the 5 star rating, and I'd buy another one if something ever happened to the one I have.

I love this pizza cutter. First off, it feels durable, its dishwasher safe and there no sharp blades. You just press down on it, then rock it back and forth and ta-da! It cuts your pizza without dangerously sharp blades. I wont use any other pizza cutter after purchasing this. I reccomend this to everyone. Theres no rust issues like with the metal cutters, theres no sharp edges so its safer, its durable, affordable and dishwasher safe. Great!

I purchased this based on the reviews on Amazon and even though the price point was a little more than I wanted to pay, it is worth it. At first, I didn't realize the bottom was not a blade or knife! I received this and was shocked that this would slice pizza but the design is awesome. Yes, it slices pizza really well and on the first go (you get used to using it, the first time we used it, we had to go over the pizza again!). Easy to clean, goes straight into the dishwasher and it's pretty to look at, it's compact, a perfect pizza cutter! Love it and will never go back to a pizza wheel (I've replaced two so far and one of them was a round pizza cutter which was very hard to clean). This is an outstanding product and if you bake a lot of pizza (like we dom at least twice a week!), this is worth every cent and a must have in your kitchen! Totally recommend it!!

Es handelt sich um ein Holzbrett, welches an der Schneidkante mit Schiefer verstärkt ist. Es arbeitet super, lässt sich mit nur leichtem Druck betätigen. Der Belag wird nicht mehr verschoben, wie es bei meinem Rollschneider der Fall war. Es lässt sich super leicht reinigen, ebenfalls im Unterschied zu meinem Rollschneider. Ich hatte zunächst Angst, dass die Tomatenfarbe beim Abwaschen nicht mehr abgeht, aber das war unbegründet. Das Holz ist irgendwie speziell porenarm, außerdem hatte ich es vorher mit Speiseöl eingerieben. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt: gegenüber dem Modell aus Edelstahl, welches ich ebenfalls in Gebrauch habe, ist es nicht ganz so martialisch, wenn man es in einem Haushalt mit Kindern verwendet. Es ist nicht wirklich rasiermesserscharf, wie mein schönes Küchenmesser, außerdem ist es recht leicht. Kinderleicht, sozusagen.

Can’t believe how simple this is to use and it works to well!!Only downside is if I don’t clean it right away I find it a bit of a hassle to clean. Have to scrape the dried on cheese off but I suppose that’s like most pizza cutters. I just worry about scraping too hard since it’s not metal. Don’t want to damage it.Aside from that. Excellent product. Just do the housekeeping before you eat 😅

I have to say I was sceptical when I purchased this item but decided I'll try it because it looked so easy to clean. I am so glad I purchased this item. It cuts my pizza so easily and none of the toppings fall off and let me tell you my pizzas are stacked with toppings. I also tried using it on my brownies, I tried using a thin sharp knife as everyone says you should use but it's still messy. This cut through my brownies so easily with very little crumb and I didn't have to wipe between cutting as you do with a knife. If anyone asks this is the Pizza/pastry cutter I will recommend.It is the Best

This is the best pizza cutter we've had, and we make homemade pizza regularly - twice a week. We are actually on our 3rd one now, as the edge does eventually split - there's nothing you can do to prevent that from ultimately happening. We thoroughly clean and dry the edge after each use, but they are not invincible, and cutting on a pizza stone over and over will eventually wear them out. That's the reason for 4/5 stars - but compared to all others we've tried, we keep coming back to this one - it works awesome until the blade eventually weakens and splits.
