Defy

Under normal circumstances I would probably not have picked this book post reading its blurb which I incidentally only read after I finished the book...since I just finished Vicious couple of hours back and it's still playing in my head, I picked Defy to continue the moment and...I already knew this was student/teacher, age difference type of this book...but it's so more than the forbidden/taboo storyline, it's really the setting for the their stories to come...these 4 young men and their lives...I hope there will be books for the remaining 2 boys...there are way too many insta-love theme books floating around but this one is worth reading, however illogical or unbelievable...for adults only, due to mature content.

Spine-tingling.Jaw clenching.Heart-warming.Heart-breaking.Teary eyed.Awe-inspiring.These are a few among the many emotions that I went through reading this book. I can't even start with what I want to say in the review except that you HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK! I have always been a fan of HotHoles but i cannot say whom do I favour more! Vicious and now Jamie hold a very special place in my heart along with the female Protagonist Mille and Melody. This is the first time in my life that I have loved both the male and the female characters equally. Jamie and his mint, oh and that man bun with his indigo eyes....*sighs* How can someone so bad be so good? L.J.Shen I have completely and irrevocably fallen in love with you and your HotHoles...No kidding! I think this series is now in my top 5 favorite series and possibly on no.2... 5 freaking stars are not enough to express the emotions I went through reading this book! I don't think even the combination of 26 alphabets in English language is going to be enough to describe how this book has made me feel!!

Dean and Rosie were so so sweet and add that there was a Forbidded factor with the age gap and being a student teacher relation..Just one word.EXPLOSIVE

I read Vicious first and then this Prequal. This one is not worth the money. Could have been cheaper. 😑But okay okay read. Nothing special.

Read it before reading Vicious and liked it.Even though a little far fetched for the 18 year-olds to have that kind of clout or influence or be that dominating.The story was not bad if you overlook the sore points

A good story, less heavier than the other books from L J Shen, which is good for me since they put me in a weird stage of mind after finishing them. But I actually thought that their love didn’t develop like the others. Still amazing though.

Melody "Mel" Greene is a teacher at All Saints High. Jaime Followhill is a student at All Saints High. Jaime's parent is the principal at All Saints High. Good times.Mel is only teaching because an injury ruined her dream of dancing. Jaime is a member of the "Four Hotholes." The problem with Jaime, is that once he sees something and wants it, there is no way to stop him from making it happen. And Jaime wants his teacher.This is a short read but it's one of my favorites for sure. It stuck with me after reading it and then years later I picked it up again and it was still just as amazing as the first time. LJ Shen wrote this book and it just grabbed you from the get go. The forbidden relationship was well handled and you can't help but wait for the bottom to fall out. Amazing read. (4 Stars because I wanted more! It was too darn short)!

Non mi piaceva molto Jaime leggendo gli altri libri ma è stata una bella scoperta, meritava un romanzo non solo una novella.Melody secondo me è un pochino insipida, troppo arrendevole a volte. Ma nel complesso mi è piaciuto

I read 'Pretty Reckless' first, which is about Daria, Mel's and Jamie's daughter, and I'm in shock because in that book Melody is a totally different person, and a 'fail' as a mother. So when I read this story I wonder what happened to the sweet, brave and 'don't give a sh*t' about money woman that is picture in this book.I enjoyed it anyway, but I think that town is full of crazy people!
