Amazing, if you have the right base.....
So i have made several batches of ice cream and i must say that it is totally worth the money. But the ingredients matter a lot.1- Use the best quality of ingredients you can afford, especially vanilla2- Commercial ice cream makers can make ice cream from a liquid base in under 10 minutes, but this machine takes 30 minutes. Because of this, the ice crystals formed will not be small enough and may be noticeable on the palate. This can be fixed by adding light corn syrup and milk powder.3- Its not just the freezer bowl that has to be cold, but the base must be thoroughly chilled as well. Target temperature is 40-45 F4- If you are adding mixins like cookies, make sure you freeze them beforehand and add them towards the end.So here is a recipe i worked on. It tastes amazing but most importantly, the texture is just like premium ice creams such as Häagen-DazsIngredients for 1 litre ice cream-300 ml milky mist fresh cream (39% fat)-300 ml Regular milk-1 tsp sprig vanilla extract (ADD RIGHT BEFORE CHURNING)-100 gm granulated sugar-1/4 cup Light Corn Syrup (i used karo brand, u can use any)-1/2 cup amul NON FAT DRY milk powder (regular milk powder or dairy creamer will not work)-Small pinch of salt-4 egg yolks

Cool, but not cold
Was quite excited to get this since I've previously used a hand churned wooden bucket ice cream maker - so had high expectations.Followed the instructions exactly. Bowl was chilled to -20 degrees C for 12 hours. Mix was chilled to 3 degrees C for the same time. 25 mins after mixing it was still slushy. Putting the slush in the freezer only turned it into a frozen brick. Clearly the bowl doesn't hold the low temperature as well as a freezing mixture of ice and salt.I'm going to try another batch soon. Left the bowl in the freezer 3 days this time. The motor and blade worked ok - maybe i can use it to mix dough ;)*** Update from second attemptNo change - i ended up with some nice cold chocolate milk shake.Going to think of creative ways to use the motor and blade.

Effortless and spot on!
I follow a plant based diet and so finding vegan ice creams is a bit of a challenge. Most of the brands use coconut milk or coconut cream and I don't like the taste of coconut. There are many recipes for home made ice creams which do not use coconut and so I thought I would try making a vegan ice cream at home.I recently purchased this ice cream maker, and I couldn't be happier with the result. It is incredibly easy to use, The instructions are straightforward, and the texture of the ice cream is creamy and absolutely delicious. I've experimented with various plant-based recipes, and every time, the ice cream comes out smooth and creamy,Overall, this ice cream maker has exceeded my expectations, making it easy to enjoy delicious, creamy, plant-based ice cream at home! Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore dairy-free dessert options.

The media could not be loaded. Machine is working and making icecream and kulfi without any ice crystals if you are following the steps mentioned in the book provided.

Too cumbersome!
Not worth buying an ice cream maker. Too much effort to make one at home in this machine. Just buy the ice creams from stores. Unfortunately I can’t return the machine.

4th time lucky
The machine works, but it might take some trial and error before getting the perfect blend. It took me four tries. The basic mistakes I made were:a) Filtering the contents after mixing, although it might seem counterintuitive as there's going to be some wastage.b) Tasting the mixture after every important step, since you can't undo or redo anything once you add the cream.Who should buy it?If you're thinking of saving money by making ice cream at home, you're in for a surprise. It actually costs about the same, if not more, than regular Amul ice cream. For 1 liter of ice cream, you need 400 ml of cream and 200 ml of full-cream milk, which would cost about 140 rupees. Then you have to add flavor, CMC, GMS, etc.So, in short, if you're planning to make sugar-free, protein-rich, whey ice cream, or vegan ice cream, then it makes sense to invest in this machine.

Disappointed with Delivery and Quality
Disappointed with Delivery and QualityI was really excited to try this product to make vegan ice creams for my daughter and me, especially after reading about how it’s an economical solution for home use. Unfortunately, the experience was a major letdown. The box arrived in a poor condition—it was taped up haphazardly and didn’t inspire confidence. Upon opening it, I found that the back side of the top part was broken. I immediately requested an exchange, but it’s been 3 days now, and I’m still waiting, unable to use the product as intended. With over 250 ratings, I expected a reliable product and service, but this fell far short of expectations. It’s frustrating not to be able to enjoy the product I purchased, especially after the initial excitement.I hope the exchange process is expedited, and I urge others to check the condition of the product thoroughly upon delivery.
