What An Absolute Joy
As refreshing as the title suggests, but not at all bitter! I loved the story; the quirkiness of the premise and the sense of adventure were both rewarded as the different stories of the various characters were uncovered. I feel as if I need to create the soundtrack album now too, as all the songs mentioned really brought the road trip to life. An idyllic journey, with real and difficult issues at its core, and a satisfying and hopeful ending. Brilliant, as this author's books always are!

A Road Trip to Remember
When life gives you a Lucia Lemon, make time to devour it with a glass of lemonade! I adored this fabulous story and read it within two days. All the characters are so believable and multi-layered and I loved all of them. Well, almost all of them. One was a bit annoying, but we find out why as the story progresses. Lucia and her ‘family’ of chalk and cheeses head off on an adventure led by a, let’s say, unorthodox guide! They find pathways to secret hopes, love, happiness and a few things they’d not bargained for along the way. This author always creates wonderful worlds to escape into, populated by characters you wish lived next door. This book was no exception. Highly recommended!

An intelligent romantic story with a few twists
I was looking forward to the latest novel from this author and I wasn’t disappointed. An intelligent, romantic story with a few twists. Celia doesn’t shy away from dealing with subjects that don’t usually feature heavily in a romantic novel. Love can and does happen to the older generation and a young man with autism, struggling to express his love, is dealt with sensitively and realistically. The road trip brings the most unlikely travel companions together, weaving together their lives and stories with a satisfying conclusion to everything. And then of course there’s the compass……………….

Fantastic read
Loved the story line quite chaotic at times but it kept me wanting to go back and read more !!!!! I’ve read most of Ceila’s books and never been disappointed. I actually felt like I was visiting all these places with Lucia and all her family & friends.

Ploughed though it
Started the sample on my Kindle, seemed a bit slow but thought it would get better. Unfortunately for me it didn’t, I was tempted several times to give up on it but did plough through. For me not much of a story line and nothing happened, very slow and too much description of non important things. Disappointing.
