Not a big fan of this Tim Holtz product. Maybe the crayons I got were old, but I found them hard to work with.

Amazing Water Soluble Pigment in a Crayon
Love these distress crayons! They are the consistency of lipstick and a little goes a long way. You either make a pallet or apply directly to the paper. I treated my paper with decoupage glue first with a brush so the brush marks show up. Let it dry and apply the color. Then you can spread it around with your finger, sponge, or use an aqua brush. It's amazing stuff. And it washes off easily. When it dries on your paper, you can touch it and it doesn't smear, yet wetting activates the color to move around again. Use a stencil with a baby wipe to remove the color. Amazing!!! This is the second I've purchased out of three sets, so I need to buy the third. Tim Holtz is a genius!

Good laydown of colour and pigment is also pretty good. I'm using these for backgrounds so far but its early days to say how I like them. I have a set of MAPED colours 8 I think that children use and they set down superb colour. These just don't give me enough colour and perhaps its the way I'm using them. I have used the pens and the paints in Distress and find them really good but perhaps a more colourful set will be better.

Good for skin tones
Blend well on gessoed surface with water pen or damp baby wipe. Nice neutral colours which are good for skin tones.
