This phone has very specific strengths and weaknesses, so whether this phone is for you depends on what your priorities are.STRENGTHS1. The battery life is excellent2. The screen is excellent3. The camera is good given the price of the phone. (You could get a better camera if you spent £75 to £100 more, e.g. Google Pixel 4a or iphone SE).These were my 3 priorities, so on that basis this phone is perfect.WEAKNESSES1. If you are after a phone with a faster processor (e.g. for demanding games, high level graphics editing etc) this isn't for you. For normal usage (i.e. internet, video streaming, standard apps), the processor is absolutely fine and you would barely notice the difference2. It doesn't have the build/style of a premium phone: it is all plastic and quite basic looking.3. It is not a light phone (it is about 200g) and is quick thick, but this is the compromise if you want a big battery. Given the size of the battery, the weight of the phone is about as low as it could be.DIFFERENCES WITH M31The changes are not huge, but it will be worth the extra for many people. The camera is improved (due to the use of a Sony rather than Samsung sensor), there is double the internal storage (128gb rather than 64gb), it charges about 25% faster, and the screen to bevel ratio is slightly improved.

I've been using galaxy phones since the S2 and this is my favourite so far, everything works as it should do and most importantly for me the battery life is amazing. I'm not a heavy user but one charge lasts me 3-4 days whereas the s40 I was using prior to this needed charging every day and a half.I have also had some amazing results with the camera and there are many different modes and options to play with. I have watched a couple of YouTube videos and they look pretty good to me.Overall I would recommend this phone to anyone.

Very pleased with the purchase, very quick delivery and good quality item. Exceptional battery (I only use it as a phone with normal features - not as a toy....). Very quick charging which lasts me a week. Set up was, for me, a little challenging as am used to reading instructions from a booklet - users who are used to setting up smart phones would do in seconds what took me a couple of hours of research. The actual steps were quick - but only if one's understanding of the terminology used was beyond basic. Most seniors would draft in one of their grandchildren to do it, but I chose the DIY route, which actually taught me a lot. After a couple of days of nervously answering all the emails,texts and messages coming at me from all directions and what seemed like every few minutes, everything calmed down - although I couldn't work out how to answer or make calls. 6 weeks later what seemed difficult is now easy and am enjoying the experience. Very satisfied with this Samsung Galaxy product.

Good product. Bigger battery with longer life. But be aware of its weight. May be similar to comparable items I market. Weighs 216 gms plus 22 gms plastic protective cover. Longterm single hand use may be a of concern if u are worried about hand injury or preexisting arthritis of hand.

I have found the sound quality is poor and the volume is limited and it is particularly difficult to hear if you are listening while out in public. Also the screen is not as sensitive as would be expected and I have recently not been able to open emails even though the phone responds to other commands. The look of the screen is not as adaptable as I would hope and I have not worked out how to change the look of the icons. It does not seem as effective as my previous Samsung Galaxy phone, which was officially a lower spec. It’s only advantage is that the battery is better.

My first smart phone, its 4G and has loads of camera's that take nice photos, plenty (128gb) upgradeable memory. Nice screen and i found it easy to set up and navigate the settings. Found a real Leather case on Amazon by Yogurt that is only £5 more than a faux one and looks/feels gorgeous. Good price, you wont have to donate an organ to buy one, and does everything i wanted. Very nice Phone :)

Gifted to my daughter an she is delighted with it. Eldest daughter has the same phone and she loves it as well. Camera is top quality.As for the Samsung earphones that came with the phone, it was extremely disappointing to use them and when trying to unplug them found out that the pin broke inside the phone audio input plug! You would not expect such a bad quality in Samsung.

I put my nano sims and memory cards ( SanDisk ) in and is stuck inside my phone nano sim tray. I can not open. I asked Samsung to solve it out because have 2 years warranty have a look. This Samsung m31s has new nano sim tray . I checked other type of phone of Samsung I can not find this nano sim card tray one whitch top of the tray 2 sim card slot and on the button of the tray memory card.Samsung customer service not helpful. Please consider when you buying this one.
