Rhino Rack Batwing Tagalong Tent

This item arrived as an Oztent Tag Along RV-5 with no reference to Rhino Rack Tagalong RV-5T, but it appears to be the same tent. For that reason I dropped a star. Instructions MUST be augmented with Youtube videos for a successful setup. There appears to be an extra support, perhaps for compatibility with another awning (we have a Rhino Rack Batwing). We set it up, partially, in the driveway and the tent appears to be very robust and well made. Setup and teardown are pretty easy, once you get the order down and learn the correct folding pattern to get everything back in the bag. UPDATE: Took the Tagalong camping and it worked out perfectly. Turns out the "extra" support hooked to another pole for the horizontal support. Tent is easy to put up, take down, and bag. It's very sturdy and well made, including zippers and supports. The branding seems to be pretty common, so I added a star to make 5.. Very satisfied.

I LOVE THIS TENT! I can not stress that enough. I debated between this tent and a roof top tent for a long time and decided to go with the Tagalong for my Overland setup. I frequently travel with dogs and my wife. I am also a disabled vet with a bad leg. This tent keeps me from having to constantly climb up and down a narrow ladder to get inside, like most roof top tents do. My dogs also now had a place to sleep as well and I don't have to worry about lifting them to place them inside a roof top tent. The door way sits approximately six inches off the ground and with the rubberized coating along the bottom, keeps all the elements out of the tent itself. Set up take approximately 15 minutes by myself. The interior has enough room to sleep six people laying side by side. The only draw back I have with this tent is the lack of internal loops for hanging items inside the tent.

So, I recently purchased a Sunseeker Awning to use on my offroad expo trailer so I could stop hauling around a big 10x10 pop-up style canopy. While looking at the accessories for the Awning I stubmled across this tagalong tent and was immediately wanting it. Now I have a large Coleman Cabin tent that my family of four usually uses very rarely throughout the year when camping. I am coming to a point where there might be weekend where I just take my 2 year old daughter so I starter looking at Roof Top Tent options but didn't like the idea of her having to climb down at night to potty. So when I stumbled across this i knew that it would fit the 2 of us just fine with our cots. It is very easy to setup and take down and everything fits back in the bag, which is long but I think for what you are getting it hauls very easily. We had a few days of rain and it preformed flawlessly, I wish all tent makers would use this type of bottom on their tents. All in all I highly recommend this tent for those looking for a quick option to use with their Awning setup.

This thing is great!! Super sturdy, easy one person setup. A perfect match for the Rhino Rack / OZ Tent Foxwing I already have on my truck. The ventilation seems adequate on a hot day over weekend already. I've not had it in the rain just yet. I can tell you that I've had the Foxwing & the Tapered Awning extensions (x2) on many looong days of rain where I was sure me and my stuff would get wet; never happens though. This tent is made of same cotton fabric that the awnings and extensions that I do own are made of, and it's really great stuff for keeping you and your stuff dry. I would recommend this product to anybody looking for a long term (to justify cost) solution to sleeping/ changing/ privacy/ sun shelter needs that will zip into your existing Sun Seeker or Foxwing awning by Rhino Rack / OZ Tent. Again to be clear, this product is made for use in conjunction with a Foxwing, or a sun seeker awning; This is not designed as a stand alone unit, it depends on the rigidity of the already in use awning poles for upright stance and structure.

The media could not be loaded.  in order to use this tent, you need to use the companion awning that attaches to a roof rack. Mine is a Yakima bike rack, but Rhino Rack also makes one. Very easy to setup. Worthwhile addition to the Foxwing awning.
