I am of the Oregon Trail generation. Boomers, you know me as a "spoilt brat Millennial". My 8-year-old son decided to reenact the classic Oregon Trail game crossing of of the Snake River. (Also known as the lake at the end of my driveway everytime it rains)Needless to say, he didn't caulk the wagon and it sunk to the bottom.After a conversation on why real off road trucks often have snorkels before crossing water, and why electronics and water are a bad combination, I came back to Amazon to order a new motor as the original was now full of mud, leaves, and probably dysentery with my luck.This came quickly, and other than having to take the entire front end apart to gain access to the motor, it was a relatively easy process. I reccomend you have a set of electronic screw drivers with a comfortable handle if you're just getting into this hobby with your kids. The screws are small and tight and those tiny set of short metal handled screwdrivers are going to leave you saying child inappropriate things. It doesn't come with a heatsink, so I did pick one of those up (in a child friendly blue color) for just a few extra dollars here on Amazon. We live in a hot climate, so I figured it was the least I could do to prevent having to order another one of these soon!Haiboxing 18859E confirmed fit (1:18 scale, "new version")Do yourself a favor, if you're in there doing this on that truck, get the upgraded metal differentials too. My son managed to strip the plastic ones out in a handful of months.

Gets hotter faster than original motor. And I transferred the heat fins. It might have more torque but has same speed. I sealed the gear housing with silicone grease to keep the sand from ruining the new gears hopefully.

Its a larger motor but i got it to work...not as well as original tho
