Unexpected picture quality.
Amassed 23 VHS-C tapes from 1993 till 2002. Back in 2007 copied them all to digital VGA. Since then, upscaled them to DivX, then again to MP4. Quality drops each time. Now using this adaptor set at 1080 the video quality was exceptional. I now plan to copy all the tapes again using this device. For the cost it really performs very well which has really surprised me. The analog to digital convertor used in 2007 cost £90 and this device is far more superior at fraction of the price.

A good converter...for the few times it actually worked!
I bought this SCART to HDMI converter in order to convert some VHS tapes to digital. The converter worked fine for a few tapes, was a simple plug and play device so I could use it straight away with OBS, and I thought this was a great find for the price! Unfortunately, after three uses, the converter wouldn't display the tape image correctly, instead the image was black and white and flickering, making it impossible to get any footage.I'm disappointed but ultimately not surprised by this as with cheap products such as this, you get what you pay for really. If you only need it for a few uses, it's great, but if you need it long term, I wouldn't bother.

In principle this works
In principle this works, the connections are smooth and the unit is small enough to put anywhere, but I am concerned that when I have this connected and am using it there is a clicking noise coming from either the unit or my dvd player that I never had before I connected this bit of kit, I will eventually work it out, but just beware

It works
Great bit of kit - came fast, fitted in a min, worked first time. You need a spare HDMI-HDMI cable and a USB socket on you TV.It will keep my old DVD+VHS machine working for a bit longer (I keep trying to convince my other half to junk the old VHS tapes and get a cheap DVD player but no luck so far) - so very pleased!
