Melitta Filter Coffee Machine, Look V Therm Perfection Model, Stainless Steel, Black, Art.No. 1025-16

Bought to replace an old rather flimsy filter coffee machine with a glass jug. This is solidly built, and the metal thermal jug is brilliant - keeps the coffee hot for several hours, and it isn't stewed. We decided it wasn't worth spending a fortune on a fancy espresso machine - we use coffee pods for that. Filter coffee is fine for our morning mugfuls.

This is a really nice coffee maker. It is quiet, is easy to fill up with removable water tank and the thermal jug keeps the coffee hot for a lot longer than most

Purchased this item as it was highly recommended by the consumer magazine Which. Unfortunately I didn't dig deeply enough into the item in Which. It is well made and like a vacuum flask keeps the coffee reasonably warm for a reasonable time but is not heated; a sadly missing facility. My mistake.

I highly recommend it. It's easy to use and very quick, and making a coffee is almost salient. It's a really good one. Very solid not cheap plastic

Great coffee machine - doesn't do anything fancy and I don't need it to. I wanted the stainless steel carafe so it wouldn't have to sit on a burner, and other than that I just want it to make nice coffee for a reasonable price. This fits the bill!

Had two of the predecessor models and loved them.The Therm V seems to have a design fault. The two I had both suddenly stopped working after a few months. Pushed the on button, and then nothing. Same with calc cleaner button. Amazon refunded me - thank you. I've bought an older version, 2nd hand and am happy again.

I’ve had a multitude of different machines over the years - I started off with an old filter machine then tried a dolce gusto and then 2 nespresso machines. The truth was, especially with the nespresso, I actually struggled to find a blend that I really liked which is why I decided to return to a make your own style brew.I’d also briefly considered a bean to cup but was put off by the price tag and potentially encountering the same issue again.That’s why, after lots of researching, I chose this machine and I’m delighted! I can make a brew exactly how I like it (which can often be different depending upon the time of day etc). I find that it makes it to a perfect temperature, easily as hot as my recent nespresso virtuo, and the pot keeps it warm for at least 3 hours. It’s neat, tidy, well made and very easy to use. It brews a pot in minutes and I love it.I’d also recommend purchasing a milk warmer / frothier as it helps maintain a hot brew and also lets you make your own frothy coffees if you like a change.Buy it, you won’t be disappointed.

I haven't had a bad cup of coffee out of this yet. It's always perfectly brewed with no bitterness. However the thermal jug is pretty useless. The first cup of coffee is hot but after that it goes cold very quickly and needs reheating in the microwave. For a family or couple who plan on making a jug and finishing it in the hour it would probably be fine but for a solo coffee drinker like me it's pretty useless if a jug I prepare at 7.30am is cold by 10am.I also find the jug hard to clean. I'm used to a glass carafe that I can sling in the dishwasher but this insulated jug needs to be cleaned by hand and it also needs to be dried very thoroughly by hand. If I just leave it to drain water gets trapped in the jug making the next days coffee even colder.
