This is a game changer, absolutely converted!
I was so nervous about using one of these, but now I've tried it I will never go back! (Sorry this is a detailed review so strap in)I've always been a pad user; I have used tampons in the past and felt comfortable using them but a pad just seemed easier for me. I'd seen menstrual cups advertised and saw some people reviewing them. I was interested as it seemed better for the environment but I felt incredibly nervous. After doing some research I found the pixie cup, and the fact that they give these to women in need too was amazing.I had a quick look on their website as they do a variety of cups and wasn't sure which one was right for me (if you're unsure too they have a quick quiz on their website which I recommend doing, especially if you are like me and had no idea how to tell where your cervix was, which a lot of companies recommend you do before buying). I then bought the regular one (as was recommended), and it worked beautifully for me.If you're not sure where to start with what to buy (as there are a lot of different products to chose from) I bought the cup and their menstrual cup wash (which I found incredibly useful as well). I do have the steriliser now too, but I think in terms of necessity you only need the cup itself and the cleaner. The cup does come with wipes which are incredibly useful if you're in a public bathroom, and you can sterilise your cup without the steriliser. I would start with just the cup and the cleaner and see how you go.When the cup first arrived it came with a really great information pack guiding you through. When I first started using it I was apprehensive, and insertion was tricky. A lot of people recommend the C-fold which I tried, but after about two days and leaks I looked up other folds as it just didn't work for me. I ended up trying the punch down fold and found this worked so much better and was 1000 times easier (there are so many ways you can fold it and there are tutorials on YouTube too).Actually using the cup I was so pleasantly surprised by how easy it was. After finding a better fold that worked for me, I can now insert it on the first try. Now I'm a bit more practised I can take it out, clean it, and re-insert it in about five minutes.Taking out the cup was actually really easy from the get-go, I love the bobble at the end of the stem as it is always really easy to find. Cleaning was so easy with the cleaner, and inserting it back in again was easy once I found the right fold for me. In terms of the mechanics of it I find it is obviously harder than traditional period products such as a pad or tampon, and for a while it takes a lot longer. However, it gets easier with practice and time. When the cup was in, I was blown away! There were a few tiny leaks whilst I was getting the hang of it, but I would put it in/change it when I woke up and before I went to work, would do an entire shift (I work quite long hours) with it in and without worrying, and then change it between 8 - 12 hours. It took so much stress and thinking pressure off of me, as I didn't need to worry about leaks or changing it regularly, I just went about my day! There was no odour which was great, and I didn't have that awful wet-pad feeling which I hated, so this was unexpected bonus that didn't occur to me at the time.I felt so much more hygienic, and some days I genuinely forgot I was on my period. It didn't take over my week as much as it usually does. I felt so impressed that I didn't have to worry for up to 12 hours; I am so tired on my period that I can easily sleep for that long and it was relief to know I wouldn't have to set an alarm to get up and change a pad/tampon, or worry about leaks on bedsheets. Changing it in a public bathroom is a bit more tricky, but as said the wipes really help with this and it's very manageable.Sorry this is so long! But I absolutely love this product! I love that my period is less stress now, I feel more hygienic, it's more environmentally friendly, I'm saving money in the long run, it's helping other women, and I can use this 10 years! I was so nervous to use this, but I am absolutely converted and cannot tell you how pleased I am that I've tried it! If you're apprehensive, honestly give it a go. It's a lot of trial and error I think, but once you've figured out what's best for you it's life changing!

Amazing customer service
Fantastic customer service. I ordered the wrong size for me and contacted the company. They sent me a new size straight away. I have used a cup for many years and this is the most comfortable and easy to use.

The best so far for me
I bought extra large (dark green) and there are not many of this size available. So I am grateful for that. I find this comfortable and unlike others which can have ridges in the pull down and then over time tear away, this one does not and therefore is not so delicate and last longer for me. I also love the initiative of buying one and automatically gifting one to another female in need.

Everyone needs one!
Firstly the pixie cup is amazing. Very comfortable and, once I worked out how to do things, I have never had any leaks or issues. My advice is to persevere and try a few different cup folds and ways of doing things that suit your body. 2 years on and not bought a single period product! Brilliant for me and the environment!Secondly - amazing customer service!!! I had an issue, contacted the team and it was sorted immediately.I just wish every woman in the world could be given one of these.

Very comfy!
I've been a cup user for over nine years now, so consider myself relatively experienced. My Fleur is starting to get on a bit, so I thought I'd branch out and invest in something new. I'll say now -- what really sold me on this one was that a cup gets donated to someone who needs it. Mine has changed my life; I hope it can change someone else's, too.Reviewing based off a cycle's getting used to, and in relation to the FleurCup, which I've used for years.Pros:• Aforementioned donation extra. I couldn't imagine having to deal with menstruation using disposable products after I'd first gotten mine -- so knowing that someone will be able to have the benefits that comes with using one, just from my purchase, means a lot.• Very, very soft. At least, in comparison to my Fleur, which is definitely firmer. While I've never really had problems with being able to feel the FleurCup (unless I was twisted up in some incredibly weird positions), the Pixie might've well just disappeared. I can see this being hugely beneficial to really active people, where being able to 'set and forget' would be more important.• Short stem. The Fleur's stem is an absolute chonk in comparison to this one -- it's never bothered me, and I never trimmed it down -- but the short stem on the Pixie is surprisingly refreshing. It's soft and flexible, and I never had to worry about it being noticeable when it's sitting low. I would've preferred the ball-style stem instead of the traditional style on the Luxe (was hoping to try out something novel), but hey, what can you do.• No problems with leaking. I'm not a new cup user, so I wasn't expecting another learning curve with the Pixie Cup. It leaked all of once -- when it was full and I was a bit slow on emptying it, which is completely to be expected. Absolutely no issues with leaking or spotting for me during normal usage.Cons:• Very, very soft. This is great for comfort, but it took a surprisingly long time to get accustomed to figuring out when it was actually open and seated correctly -- the firmer cup I'm used to pops open very noticeably. This one didn't like to pop open when I was trying to seat it relatively high up, and it took a little trial and error to figure out that it just...likes to sit low, I guess. This isn't a complete, total, no-go con for me -- I'm just not really comfortable poking around up there to make sure it's opened properly. Once I realised it works better lower for me, I had far less issues -- though it's still very difficult to *feel* when it's open.• The stem. It's short, flexible, and comfortable -- good points. But it's *very* stretchy, and every time I went to remove it, I thought I was going to snap it. It's a little difficult to get a grip on for me; I quickly stopped using it entirely and just gripped the bottom of the cup, which was far more effective. I might end up trimming it off entirely -- even though it's not in the way at all -- because of this, and the following point:• Slight staining. This was unexpected for me -- the actual 'cup' of the cup looks flawless after a cycle's usage and with regular cleaning, but the stem had totally stained as if I'd used it for a year. And that was with thorough washing while rinsing. This cup would be excellent for very active people, who're looking for something non-intrusive and comfortable. First-time users would probably do well with it also, considering how comfortable it is. I'm ultimately really pleased with this purchase, despite the few finicky bits for me, and it'll likely be my main cup from here on out.

Everything I expected, good quality and easy to use.
Good quality and easy to use. Takes some getting use to for first timers but I strongly recommend this product for an eco friendly and mess free solution.

Much improved period
I ordered a pixie cup last year and loved it, once I got the hang of it it made my period so much more bearable. I then had a baby and the original cup no longer fits. Pixie cup customer service sent me the size up at no extra cost and were so helpful and quick. I’m yet to try the new cup but if it fits then I look forward to going back to secure, leak free periods again.
