It really works.
It really keeps the squirrels away. And they don't like the smell.

This does not work.
Bought this at the same time we bought our pumpkins. Applied heavily and within 12 hours they had already started munching on then. Reapplied everyday and each day there has been more and more and more damage. It appears this only encourages them to attack our pumpkins.

Really works!
I use this spray on my fig trees and it keeps the critters away from my ripe fruit.

Does Not Work on Skunks!
My sister recommended this spray after the deer ate my new Japanese Maple! It seems to deter deer and groundhogs. The skunks who have been digging up my plants, in the pots on the porch, couldn’t care less about it. They have continued to root around, spreading potting soil all over the porch. In fairness to the product, it does not promise to deter skunks. I was just hopeful!! It works very well against the deer and groundhogs and for that I am grateful!

Didn't work on my roses
Sprayed 10 rose bushes and used almost the entire bottle. Deer still continuing to eat new growth and buds. Trying netting next.Note: bottle does not spray well once you get down to about an 1/8th of bottle remaining.

Probably works while it is still wet; get an owl decoy instead.
One or more squirrels have recently been eating several Christmas cactus plants on my carport table. Thinking capsaicin hot pepper might discourage them, I sprayed the plants several times over the course of a week. Apparently after the product has dried, the peppery taste becomes inert. I observed a squirrel chewing large pieces off the plants, eating the large end, dropping the rest and then chewing off another large piece.I even moved all the plants 30 feet away to another table, but the squirrels found that location too. More spraying of the Bonide Repellent, which is totally ineffective. I've now used over half the quart bottle's contents and therefore can't return it, but the squirrels seem to like this stuff. Some of the plants, which were quite large, look really bad. I hope they will produce some new growth and bloom for the holidays in a few months. It's easy enough to use the squirt bottle, but it's not of much value if the product doesn't deter the pests. The scent is not too bad. Not sure what I'll do with the rest of the Bonide.I've now had to go to the additional expense of buying an owl decoy figure, which was set up Sunday, August 13, 2023. Haven't seen a squirrel on the carport since then. Don't buy Bonide, get an owl decoy and move it around every few days. You'll have better results.

Works well
As described by seller and individually wrapped for shipping. Also, seems to work well in keeping the pesky rabbits away from my ground cover. They like to eat it down to a nub so I've had a chicken wire fence around it for 2 years now (trying to let it grow). Finally removed the fence and now spraying with this stuff. Does have a hot pepper scent but its not too bad.
