I probably could have gotten a large and been fine as well. It did shrink a little. It really depends on how you like your sweatshirts to fit. If just for wearing around I’d say exact fit. For work or activities, I’d say size up. **Q: What is the length of size large and does it shrink much?** A: It didn’t shrink. I have x large and it covers my bottom but not too long. I don’t know about the large, I gave it as a gift. **Q: are the cuffs loose or tight fitting?** A: 3 inch ribbing cuff. Definitely not loose...but, not necessarily tight. I can pull the sleeves up on my arms a bit. Hope that helps. Im a 30/32, usually shop at Torrid and buy their 6x. According to the size charts this was supposed to be comparable. It is, but barely. These run about 3'' slimmer in the abdomen and the arms are much more snug so keep that in mind if you're plus size and looking for a loose fit. It will fit a 30, but a 32 is pushing it. It causes me some pause when considering if I should try other Amazon brand products. My recommendation would be to size up if possible.The cut is nice but again Id prefer a more generous waist and arms. The neck is a little higher than what Im used to but low enough to still look feminine and not feel like it's strangling me like a unisex hoodie would. The cut would be greatly improved if the front neckline was a tad lower.Sizing aside the quality is very nice. I love that the wrists are the perfect size. Not too tight, not too loose. The fabric is mid weight and very soft. Construction and fabric appears to be quality and Id expect these hoodies to last quite a white. Much better quality than what you'll find at budget department stores for a similar price.
