The only modification needed to the van is to cut off (with a box knife) a small plastic tab that is used to align a notch in the the factory speakers with the door panel. I wanted to have the tweeter up in the door to replace the original tweeter that came with the car. I wasn't sure how the fit would be. The fit was near perfect. But I did have to use some hot glue to hold the tweeter in place. I was able to get the wiring configuration so that I could run the original speaker wires to the speakers and still use the crossover for the speakers. I had to remove the front passenger seat and I removed the original amp and wired directly from the new car stereo. It all worked out well. The tweeters outperform the original tweeters that came with the SUV. The woofers fit right into the original spots. It's still early to decide how I like the bass from these speakers. But they don't sound bad. The original woofers were actually pretty good quality but this is an old SUV a 2004, so it was time to replace the old drivers.
