I am writing to formally report a dangerous failure of my Geepas cooktop (Model: GIC6131 which occurred on 26 February 2026 at approximately 11 pm. While I was using the appliance for routine cooking, the ceramic glass surface suddenly and violently shattered without any impact or misuse. The glass didn't just crack; it burst across the entire surface, sending shards onto the counter and floor. It continued to throw shards across the kitchen counter even 20 minutes after we shut everything down. The impact of this incident includes: • Physical Danger: I was standing directly in front of the unit when it exploded. I have suffered minor injuries from the shards as they were spread across the floor of my kitchen and Living room as We have an open window towards the living room and significant respiratory distress from the immediate shock. • Emotional Trauma: The violence of the failure has left me shaken and fearful of using similar appliances in my home. • Property Damage: The unit is a total loss, and my meal and several pieces of cookware were contaminated with glass shards. Based on the nature of the break—shattering completely while under normal thermal load—this appears to be a significant manufacturing defect or a failure in the tempered glass quality. This poses a severe fire and laceration risk to any consumer owning this model. I raised a complaint with the team but no action was taken on this issue.

Geepas Double Burner Infrared Cooker (GIC6131) – Very Limited Pot Size I really wanted to like this product, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. The biggest issue is the actual usable cooking area. Although the cooker looks large and the glass top measures around 10 inches, the effective heating coil is only about 7 inches. This severely limits the size of pots and pans you can use. In a normal kitchen, most cookware is 8, 10, or 12 inches in diameter. With this cooker, anything larger than 7 inches does not heat properly or sit correctly on the surface. This makes it impractical for everyday cooking. If you plan to cook dishes that require larger pots, such as biriyani or family-sized meals, this cooker is not suitable. It may work only for very small pans or minimal cooking needs. Additionally, the top glass showed damage on first use, which raises concerns about durability and safety. Overall, the product looks bigger than it actually functions. Please be aware of the very small heating coil size before purchasing.

أول حاجة كان في مشكلة في العينيين اذا شغلتهم اثنينهم على نفس الاعدادات الحرارة مو متساوية عين حارة وعين دافية اليوم صارت مشكلة كبيرة مع الجهاز انه لما وضعنا الاعدادات على اقل درجة حرارة لا يزال التسخين يزيد الى ان احترق القدر وطلع دخان كثير في المطبخ انصح بعدم الشراء جربنا نرجعه وما نفع لانه مضى عليه اكثر من 15 يوم وفروا فلوسكم وصحتكم
