Works in a Mac Pro
No need to spend extra for something designed specifically for Mac. These worked fine for installing a hard drive into the optical bay on my Mac Pro, and got rid of the vibration sounds instantly. I've kept the optical drive installed, and put a hard drive below it, but it's nice to see this bracket is designed to hold two hard drives, so if I ever want to ditch the optical drive and put in another hard drive, I'm already set to go.

Good, but not perfect
After installing a water cooling setup for my 660Ti, my hard drive seek noise became the most noticeable noise on my system. I can't say for sure it's the loudest, but it's in a different frequency than the 2 120mm fans (1 for the water cooling radiator and 1 for the cpu heatsink), the 2 80mm fans and the power supply fan. The power supply is a seasonic, so it's pretty quiet, and the case fans and radiator fan are all set to the lowest speed possible. My drive, a Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.B, is rated at 27dB for idle, but doesn't list a seek noise rating. After installation, the seek noise is much less noticeable. I'll live with it for a few weeks before I decide if I want to switch drives to a WD green, as those are sound rated at 29 dB for seek. One quirk during installation, one of the rubber mounts loosened while I was tightening the mount screw into place, so I had to hold it to keep it from spinning while I turned the screw. If Amazon had one of the full enclosures available for prime ship, I probably would have just gone with one of those instead, like the Silenx LXHDSS.

Loose everything
Would be AMAZING if they weren't so loose that I couldn't install into my pc. Doesn't prevent shaking, makes it WORSE

Almost useless
I got this to quieten the HGST Ultrastar He10 HUH721010ALE600 10 TB 3.5" Internal Hard Drive I purchased recently, which is one of the loudest HDDs I owned, if not the loudest (and I am not young, meaning I owned much older technology drives). The black rubber mounts you see in the picture have metal screw threads in them, and since the rubber is way too hard, they end up conducting the vibration almost directly to the case, instead of dampening/eliminating it. When I touched the case, I could still feel the strong vibrations of the HDD, and the case was still buzzing.I think the HDD might (just might) have been a little more quiet than direct-mounting, but compared to the level of decoupling and silencing "SEDNA - Shock-Proof 3.5" Hard Disk to 5.25" DVD ROM Bay Mounting adapter" achieved, I would say this is pretty much useless. I am glad I ordered both at the same time, anticipating the exact issue I describe here (i.e., I guessed the rubber may be too hard).

Works great for getting two drives in a 5.25" bay
I've used these on an HP Microserver and now a Dell t7600. I wasn't worried about sound - my goal was to get 2x3.5" drives in a 5.25" bay. Just make sure you test it out before putting in all the screws. You might have to flip one of the drives to make sure it'll fit.

Nexus does it again!
I don't know why Nexus stopped making these... and a lot of other products aswell, ALL of their products are top class! This item stopped my HDD rattling in the pc case - I can still hear the seek, etc., but I'll prolly place the ODD above the HDD so it'll silence that sound also (ODD under HDD atm.).<3 Nexus

Reduced hard drive vibration on 3 TB drive
I had a 3 TB drive that produced a low vibration noise that hummed high and low, and drove me crazy. The absorbers did their job, and reduced all the vibration. Highly recommend for large hard drives.

I do like the way it's constructed though
Does the job and does it well. The claim that you can mount two drives, though, seems a bit inflated as you have to mount one drive upside down, and the two drives do not really fit in a standard 5.25" drive space. I do like the way it's constructed though, with the rubber arms providing isolation from the case to help dampen vibration.
