My wife loved it. As it turns out she had a solid gold pendant she had purchased in Hawaii many years ago that she had never worn. She had never found a perfect chain to use with it and it turns out this was the one. I always worry about coming up with a gift she would absolutely love and this chain did not disappoint. The key turned out to be it was solid gold. Not plated or filled, but SOLID 14 karat gold. It sparkles just as they said it would and looks great. We are pleased. Highly recommend.

I bought the first one a few years ago to replace a "too fragile" chain on a pendant I gave her for Christmas. She always like the "rope" style chain because it's sturdy, but she also insists on the lobster closure since it's more secure. She has never lost jewelry that has a lobster claw closure.For her birthday recently, I bought her another pendant that came without a chain. (That was okay since I'd have had to replace the stock chain anyway.) I was happy to see this was still available. For her, the 16" puts the pendant just where she wants it. The 1mm size is pretty light weight and delicate, but still sturdy. My wife is petite, so that size looks great on her.

I needed a solid heavier weight chain for a pendant. This is better quality than other "rope" chains. This is a round chain and lot of companies are passing off flat chains twisted to look round, but they're flat and weaker than this "original style" rope. My only complaint is I was going to buy the 16" chain as well, less than a week after I received this one and the price for the 16" increased $30.00 and now is MORE expensive than the 18" I just got. Very disappointed with that - will not buy from this vendor again

I had some concerns about buying a gold chain on line, but when my heavier one had to go in for repair I did not want to pay local prices for a spare just so I could wear my favorite pendant through the month I would have to wait. I was happily surprised! This gold chain is lovely, and I am most pleased with it. Thank you!Addendum: I wore this chain day and night with a light pendant. The chain held up perfectly. After three years, the spring mechanism inside the clasp broke (not from overuse, as I did not need to open the clasp on a 24-inch chain that could simply go on over my head). The vendor fully stood by this product and offered a one-time replacement, even after the price of gold had soared. I have utmost gratitude and respect for this vendor and for this level of customer service, and I will not hesitate to order from this company in the future. They are the best!

I've had this necklace for almost 2yrs now and felt that it would be a great time to leave this review. This necklace has held up to the test of time, handsy toddlers, crazy kids and an owner who literally hasn't taken it off (other than to clean it a few times) in almost 2yrs. Quality, sturdy, well made - what more can I say? Highly recommend!

I ordered this chain in 16" to go with two other chains I'm wearing. It just arrived and it's beautiful!!
