Terro T1812-2 Outdoor Liquid Ant Killer Bait Stakes (2 Pack)

One day I notice a huge trail of ants around my garage ceiling and windows, put these stakes all around, worked next day, Needs to keep using bait for a few months or ants return

Was a little disappointed this was actually the new design (I guess) and “seem” smaller -but these baits have been the best to quell our crazy, suddenly overwhelming little black ant problem. They were EVERYWHERE in the house and yard and quickly are being more controlled. I appreciate it has no harm to my nearby bee friends as well.

I’m pretty satisfied with how these worked. I have used them around my house with success before but this time I purchased them to place around a chicken coop. We have a serious problem with ants not only in the run but inside the coop and nest boxes as well. The chicken feed is crawling with ants and chickens can only eat so many ants. I placed these outside the exterior walls of the entire coop out of range for the chickens. In four days I’ve noticed a major decrease in ant activity. Before if I set down a bag of feed outside the coop door there were ants swarming it within minutes. Now there are just a few appearing in the same amount of time. These are effective but I know for a fact from use around my house that they do not last as long as stated on the package. I plan to pick up the used stakes and replace with fresh at the end of this week, and I will probably repeat that process several times before being confident the ants are finished.

Ants in my yard disappeared within a few days. Great stuff.

These outdoor ant baits really work! Great value for the money

There are two kinds of Terro outdoor Ant Bait Stakes -- one with a solid plastic stake that can drive into the ground (as shown in the picture here), and another with a soft plastic that requires you to dig the hole (my picture here). The photo on the Amazon page indicates the former, which is what I wanted, but I received was the latter. I can make the soft stakes work, and the Terro liquid is the best thing I've found on the market for battling ants, but I bought this hoping for the hard stakes which are much easier to install.

Not even one star. These are not the old-style heavy duty ant stakes that are pictured. These are the cheaper, flimsier and way less effective 1813B stakes. Shame on both Terro AND Amazon for allowing this "bait and switch" to continue, as you clearly are advertising the old model number in the post and replacing with the new version, which are terrible.

I had a trail of ants climbing up the corner of my house to the attic and then somehow working their way into every room of the house it seemed. I found where all the major trails were, and any mounds and strategically placed these around. By the time I finished placing all 8 stakes out, and came back to look at the real big trail on the corner of my house I was shocked. it had only been 10-15 minutes at most and the stake was just COVERED in these ants. And I think it was just a FEW days and I saw a huge decline. This was in May so 6 months ago and I am just now starting to see a few stragglers around so I am buying again. I recommended these to my parents who have tried all kinds of sprays and granules to put around the perimeter of their home with no help and they had the same experience. Very pleased to not have to have a ton INSIDE the house, that just putting these out did the trick. And I believe the directions say you should replace quarterly basically but I have gone 6 months before seeing ants. Very impressed and pleased. I think they are quite affordable too. This listing is for 16 stakes I only need one package though to go around my entire house. Placing on each corner and other various spots in the yard where I found mounds.... works like magic. The video may be hard to see but there are a ton of ants going in and out of the stake.
