Don't like the cutter, blades not secured
The cutting tool has no way of holding the blades secure. They wobble around. Used the paint roller & it works well, nice & smooth. I ordered a different linocutter and will use the blocks with the new tool. Between the cost of the blocks and the paint roller, I decided to not return, because those items would cost more individually then what I paid for this kit.

Not worth the money
The cutting tool is cheap and defective but apparently there isn’t product support for this item. The rubber and Breyer are fine but the tool won’t hold the sharp cutting blade

DO NOT BUY THIS
I never write reviews, but I cannot express enough how HORRIBLE this kit is. The tools were so blunt that they couldn't even cut the rubber. On top of that, the blades did not stay in the handle. This tool is unsafe. Someone could easily impale themselves or lose a finger. The value is so not worth the risk!

Not for beginners or children
I purchased this to work with a client who wanted to learn printmaking . I ended up giving them my speedball carving set that’s over 25 years old for two reasons. Safety, and I wanted them to understand carving. I took over with this set and was not only terrified by the lack of sharpness, but the fact the blades kept bowing in the handle and wiggling loose. As a beginner I would hang up printmaking in a minute if I was given this set. Not to mention the fear of cutting oneself totally vetoed the experience. We managed to get a rubber pad carved and moved to creating the print…. Well, the roller refused to “ tac tac tac” which is your sure tell your roller is loaded, instead it just slid over the ink.So- my bottom criticism is- not safe for anyone, and if you want to learn to love printmaking art give/get the gift of a product that works and spend that little extra- you want and need a comfortable handle that engages and clamps the blade, you need a good cutting surface ( rubber is ok), and a roller that actually sets, picks up and engages with the ink without a slip and slide ( it’s already a messy process) . It is a tactile, therapeutic process and actually a very sensory experience when using the right products. I’m sad this set failed my expectations, but relieved I had an old school ( 30+yrs old) engraver that enables my client to still have a great experience! So, speedball is still #1

Dull tools. Only good for the blocks?
Very poor quality.Save money buying a pack of tiles and a set of sharp tools. These were so blunt. Cutting a single small square into a smooth circle was impossible. Moreover the ink roller was warped which does affect quality.

Bad kit
The handle wouldn't properly hold the blades and they were dull. I sharpened them and they were still dull.I ended up ordering a different more secure and sturdy handle and it came with WAAY better quality blades too.Save your money and get a better kit.

Cannot Assemble Knife
The blades do not fit into the handle. Don’t buy this. The woodcut knife does not use the standard threaded fastener thats needed to secure the blade.
