I got this front casing to fit on my Switch as I had already swapped out my Joycon shells and the rear casing of the Switch itself last year and at the time this part was not available. This is definitely not a project that you should rush as it does require complete disassembly of your Switch console (including using a heat gun to separate the screen from the original front casing) so make sure that you use the correct tools for the job (some tools are provided with the kit but you will need to provide you own heat gun or hair dryer for the screen separation). I would also suggest carefully following along with a tutorial video to make sure that you don't miss anything (take it slow and be careful) although it should be noted that the video I watched missed missed out the steps of transferring over the diffuser for the light sensor and also the 2 small adhesive speaker mesh panels from your old front casing into the new one. Now that my Switch is fully atomic purple I am really happy with the end result so if you don't mind a bit of tinkering and want your Switch to stand out from the crowd then I would highly recommend this and the other Switch mod kits from eXtremeRate!

Easy to use, even without instructions. It feels quite well made and is cheap to make your switch feel fresh and new. It reminds me of the old Gameboy Colour transparent Purple.

Despite me breaking my own nintendo switch trying to apply this case, i cannot fault the case at all. once i got it on it looked fantastic and is a great design with a sturdy build.

I went for the full kit front, back plates as well as the joy con shells. While at it, I also changed Thermal Paste and replaced the glass digitizer. Took me a total of maybe 4-5 hours work over a few days, but so well worth it in the end. Biggest challenge was removing the joy con rails, the middle screw is so tightly torqued I spent a good couple of hours trying every method to remove it. In the end, it all looks great and I highly recommend this if you have the time and patience to do it. I recommend you follow "iFixit" guide, it's much clearer and a lot more detailed than the videos on youtube, including the official guide by ExtremeRate.

It arrived faster then expected and came with everything needed to do the replacement. This isn't a project for some one with out experience as there is a lot of small parts that can easily get broken, taking the screen off is no easy task but can be accomplished with a little patience and a heat gun or hair dryer ( I used a hair dryer so it took longer, about an to an hour and a half). Also the shell itself is on the soft side and I bentine while removing from the packaging, fortunately I was able to remove the stress mark with my hair dryer and it looked good as new. All in all prety happy with the shell. As always eXtremeRate delivers a quality product.

Everything seems about perfect for me. I actually used the included screwdriver(s), even though I already have a few sets. I watched a video on YouTube on my tablet while I did the installation. I had to rewind and pause the video a couple times but I just took my time and didn’t break anything. I also have years of experience disassembling electronics so I’m sure that might have helped. People who complain about the screwdrivers don’t understand that you have to apply pressure while unscrewing those screws or they most likely will strip. The only part that confused me was which way to put the power button in. It seems like I got it though. The switch looks great and some people think it’s a limited edition. I used a blow dryer to heat up the edges of the screen and used the included suction cup to pull it out. Once again, you have to take your time. This is really a must if you have replaced the backplate because it looks kinda dumb just to replace the backplate and the front plate is still black. I ordered the front and back at the same time. It takes a little over an hour to complete. The only real problem was the kickstand.: I had to soak it in hot water from my Keurig to soften it up so I could straighten it out because it was warped, but after I was done it was fine. Both kits included a whole set a screws and a really nice screwdriver(s).

An awesome way to customise your switch, it's so easy to swap the back plate but only someone commited will swap the front half of a switch

Die transparente Front von eXtremeRate passt wie angegossen auf meine Switch. Ich konnte keinen Unterschied zum Original feststellen – super Qualität und absolut passgenau. Optisch ein echter Hingucker! Einziger Hinweis: Für den Digitizer musste ich neues Klebeband besorgen. Mein Verbesserungsvorschlag an den Hersteller: Bitte künftig auf allen vier Seiten der Front dort, wo der Digitizer aufliegt, einen schmalen Streifen 3M-Klebeband vormontieren. Dann wäre das Set absolut rund!
