They looked great but are cheaply constructed. After two visits from an electrician I've given up on these not shorting out. They literally melted the terminal on the bulb and there was water getting in. Don't waste your time and buy from your local big box or from a reputable manufacturer

i bought this as a replacement for a globe that i bought from home depot. the previous one was cheaply made and needless to say blew off the post in a storm ( i live in the Cincinnati area and we get tornado producing storms come through very spring and summer) i wanted to stay with the globe look, we own a mid century home and the newer post tops juts don't match the house.once i bought this replacement i knew i made the right decision. it is so sturdy and you can tell right out of the box. the globe actually is threaded and screws into the mounting bracket. weve had a dozen or so good storms come through with no problems at all. i love this globe!

The globe arrived damaged. The return window of 30 days is to short. I had it sent to my parents. When I got to my parents to install I found the globe has a one inch hole in it. I called the manufacture they would not replace because I was 20 days past the return for damaged product. The product arrived April 5 of 2022. I arrived 5/26/2022 and found the globe had a hole in it.

This globe is a "twist on/off type" which makes light bulb changes easier. The one it replaced was held on by 2 spring clamps which was harder to remove/install. The P5478-60 is definitely more secure and the globe itself is made of thick acrylic. The base of the globe where the light bulb sits is made of plastic (my old one was aluminum) so I'll have to see how it holds up long term. It's been through one rain/windstorm, 30-40 mph wind gusts and it stayed secure.

These globe lights are exactly what we wanted. They are larger than the standard 10 or 12 inch globes, which we needed as our walls were very tall and wide. Our walls would have swallowed-up smaller globes. We haven't installed them yet, but we'll let you know how they work later. They arrived quickly and were in great shape!!!

This globe did it. I had to replace a broken outdoor fixture and this looks much nicer than the previous one. It diffuses a nice light. It was easy to install except the tightening of the globe. For some reason it's not too stable but it could be me doing something wrong. Overall a good buy at a good price.

Looks great and is easy to screw on. We had b4 a larger globe light, was so hard to put on and during a wind storm it broke. Light works great with the electric eye. Looks like it will hold up good during a storm.

bought as an outdoor fixture as it is a post light. had to wait for electrician. then found it was not rated for outdoor use. Now I am out of luck as I cannot return.

Returned these globes as I realized that they weren't suitable for my front cottage.
