This collage is my homage to San Francisco and the Bay Area, including all things from food to technology. I make high quality limited edition (100) 8" x10" prints matted to 11" x 14". Calamari Calibration is shown in the fantastic article about me as the Artist of the Month for January 2015 in the popular ezine Artists Culture. Partial Artist's Statement Creation and manipulation of images is how I express what I came in knowing, which has no words. The Greek meaning of 'image' is a moment's intuition into reality. I seek to make more accessible a reality that eludes us in our day to day life through the creative use of familiar images and objects. I delight in diversity and the infinite complexity of our quantum, holographic, love-based universe. In 1991 I had a deep revelation that I must create art. Since then I have spent any available time weaving, knitting, papermaking, book making, painting, drawing, sewing, monoprinting and most of all creating collages. Art had been my avocation until I retired from a 40+ year career in information technology as an Enterprise Information Architect in 2008. I am now a full-time artist and I love it! I am the Featured Artist in the January 2015 issue of the popular ezine Artists Culture, the President of the Petaluma Arts Association for 2015-16, and an artist of the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art. My studio is in a lovely cottage amidst the beauty of rural Petaluma. I offer classes and art parties there, at O'Hanlon Center for the Arts and in private homes. I love seeing people discover their creativity!
