Twisty
A really good story with the twists of Agatha Christie. The ending is a nice touch. All the characters are believable but it did concern me about the justice in the American justice system.Read it and enjoy it.

An innocent client
This was a fast. Moving detective story of a lawyer representing a madam. The story twists and turns an is depicted through the eyes of a few legal people and the main characters family.I really enjoyed the story throughout and found it gripping and entertaining.I would recommend this book as a very good read.

A very enjoyable read
It's always a bit of a gamble when trying an author you haven't read before - however, in this Scott Pratt novel my gamble paid off and I was rewarded with a rather good read. It kept me engaged, the story flowed quite nicely and he didn't do masses of waffle to show how much he knows about the law - I think he got the level of 'factual bits' just right. In my humble opinion, many authors fall into the trap of using a novel to show off their knowledge of a particular topic and forget that the point of a fictional novel is to entertain, not educate - that's what academic text books are for. I've bought his next two Dillard novels and look forward to reading them. I'd certainly recommend having a read of Mr Pratt's books - most enjoyable.

Drama filled read.
The read was confusing at first as it seemed to jump from one principle character to another, however, as you read further on, things become clearer and ends with an unpredictable clever twist. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a John Grisham likw style of courtroom drama with a James Patterson crime style.

A very enjoyable read
I usually like Grisham legal thrillers but this was in the same ball park and was decent a read.I’ll definitely be reading the next Joe Dillard book in the series and take it from there.
