Bulk winter supply
I like to buy in a few staples over the winter in case it is too wet or cold to go out. This bag of rice is lasting me a long time. It has more flavour and is more nutritious than white processed rice, which I prefer for cooking. It takes about 25 minutes to boil. A good option with many dishes over winter as it provides fibre and bulk and carbs to help one keep warm and feel full up. Better than unhealthy stodgey sugary cakes and more satisfying owing to nutritional content.Update July 2023. Bought again, as this was very nice rice.

Wholesome and filling
Definitely worth the cooking time! It doesn’t go mushy it over cooked too. It is good value for money as organic brown rice tends to be more expensive these days. I will definitely but this again when I get through this batch. It isn’t as absorbent as some varieties of rice in my experience but I’ve enjoyed cooking it in different liquids such as vegetable stock, coconut milk and bases of sweated onion ,garlic and spices.

Like the volume of this pack, and the packaging. Good to know that I can buy this way as the only shop here to sell it is way expensive.

very poor quality
well, i don't know if i got the bottom of the barrel or something, but this is rubbish. annoyingly, i missed the return window by 2 days because i was away, but this would have gone back. The grains are very small - smaller than my regular white basmati without the husks. It cooks to mush (simmered for about 23 minutes). not impressed, and now i'm stuck with masses of the flipping stuff.

I haven't eaten any rice yet but I LOVED the company's philosophy of the 'journey of the rice'. Very impressed and can't wait to try it!
