Works with the E8213 eufy Dual Camera 2K HD Wireless Door Cam with Homebase 2
I am writing this review to confirm that this remote door bell chime works with the “eufy Security Video Doorbell Dual Camera, 2K HD, Wireless, Battery-Powered, HomeBase, Dual Motion Detection, Smart Recognition” model E8213.I couldn’t find anything definitive saying that this would work with the “Dual Camera” version so I want to let folks know that it is indeed compatible.Set up was simple but the manual doesn’t mention all the steps that you need to go through on the app. However, the app walks you through it very well.I think that some of the problems people may be running into are that they don’t have the wireless camera and/or they possibly don’t have a homebase installed. Just a guess on my part.I had it unboxed, installed, linked, adjusted (volume & chine), and tested in less than 15 minutes.I wish everyone as smooth as an experience as had.

Works only with battery doorbells and homebase 2 or 3 currently
This is an "add on" chime only that will only work with a homebase two or three unit in your eufy security setup. It creates things so that you will get a chime on your home base (possibly Alexa also) and at this unit as well simultaneously, my home base is in my room next to my internet router and this unit is plugged in elsewhere in the house because the one on the home base probably couldn't be heard all over the house. The chime connects to the system with a USB dongle that plugs into the back of the homebase unit. The box contains the correct power connector for several countries (US, UK, AU, EU) you just line up the notches and twist it on that's all the assembly there is. Note: I have a doorbell 340 which this works with but documentation in the box is outdated so if you've read someplace else that this works with your model of doorbell it probably does because they've released firmware updates etc. since what's in your box sat on the shelf. If you need a firmware update that is accomplished with the eufy security app. Most of the time once it sees a new device it will automatically offer the update but I did have one device where I had to go in the app and select firmware updates before I got the notification. Plug in the door chime to an AC outlet where you want it then second plug in the dongle in the usb A port on the back of the homebase 2 or 3. The home base three has two usb ports the top one has a blue inside which is usually high speed for data (you can plug in a thumb drive to offload video footage) so I used the bottom black usb A port for the chime dongle. The chime has buttons on the side to select the choice of chimes (8 choices) and volume. So install chime first, dongle second, when you enter the app setup it will tell you to press the sync button on top of the device and it will chime once and the light on front will turn blue (I don't know if you have to sync it again if you unplug it I hope not).Documentation says that one usb dongle will support up to four chimes but it doesn't appear you can buy the chimes separate from the dongle they only come in packs with one of each which is ok I suppose in case your dongle goes bad or gets damaged or lost because you'll have more available to use. It doesn't appear that you can expand the choice of chimes you just get the built in 8 that it arrives with.

Works
This chime works really well. We have it by our kitchen so we can hear our doorbell.

Loud, easy to connect, useful for large homes
We live in not a large home, but a tall one. The chime for the doorbell is 2 floors down and can easily be missed. We missed a couple rings with our new Eufy doorbell, and this was our first thought/solution.Let's be clear, this works as intended. It is loud, it is easy to set up (very easy, essentially plug and play), and definitely chimed every time the bell was rang. It even has a select number of options for how you want it to sound. But this is expensive for what it is. I was a little bummed that the bundle of the homebase and doorbell I bought did not come with a chime extension. But that's a personal problem. I did find that I had enough Amazon echoes laying around that I could make them my chimes and they work just as well. I can't really justify spending the money when something that most people already have will work just as well.

A Game Changer for Eufy Doorbell Users
I’m thrilled that they added compatibility for HomeBase 3! Setting up the chime was a breeze—I simply connected the USB extender to the back of my HomeBase and plugged the chime into an outlet where I most needed to hear the doorbell. This add-on significantly enhances the functionality of the HomeBase, especially since mine is tucked away near the router.Having this chime extender is a game changer. It ensures I never miss a visitor, no matter where I am in the house. If you have a Eufy doorbell and a HomeBase, this is a must-have addition. Highly recommended!

Don't waste your time
I'm usually a big fan of Eufy products, but I don't know how they dropped the ball on this one. Firstly, it doesn't connect. QR Code doesn't work. Entering the code manually doesn't work either. Attempted customer service. They told me to just try again. I tried again. Still does not work. No longer covered under return window, so now I'm stuck with an expensive paperweight.

HURRAY1 Doorbell DualCAM Chime attachment finally works with my Homebase 3
Third time appears to have been the charm. After buying and subsequently returning the same version of this device which turned out not to work my Homebase 3 (there seems to have been confusion on the part of customers and Eufy staff alike as to comparibility with Homebase 2 versus Homebase 3), THIS DEVICE INSTALLED SEAMLESSLY RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. Before getting it right, I had also mistakenly ie confusedly ordered the WIFI version with rabbit ears which didn’t work at all, though I couldn’t return it because the microSD card slot essentially collapsed and the SDcard was sucked into the innards of the device. The slot tray was oh so cheap.

Works but could be better
This works with the HB3 and the E340 doorbell camera. It has no controls in the app. You have to adjust the volume and tone on the unit. Not what we were expecting with this ecosystem.
