Perfectly Functional for the Price
I have thick, mid-length, curly hair that clogs all pipes and ruins all vacuums.I wanted to buy a new drain when I moved into my new apartment to catch hair instead of letting it go straight into the pipe, but quickly discovered that I have a really old tub and traditional drains don't work. (There's a hook in the middle of the drain that you have to plug into. It's weird. I don't know much about drains.) Nonetheless, I couldn't buy a new drain, or anything that goes INTO the drain, so I was going to have to get a cover.I shopped around before getting this one. I didn't want to have to return anything, didn't want it to be an eyesore, and wanted it to work. I was tired of buying things for the apartment, didn't want to take specific measurements on my drain, how close it was to the tub, etc. This seemed like the safest bet. And it works! It's clear, not white, so I feel like it's less noticeable. It's not invisible by any means, but I don't catch sight of it out of the corner of my eye and wonder what fell into my tub.I read a couple reviews about stepping on it, but I've never had a problem. It is wider than the drain, but not by that much. Unless you already have problems stepping on your drain or really close, you shouldn't have a problem. There are two layers to this. To the best of my knowledge, and how I use it, you are supposed to use both at the same time, and they just go right on top of each other, and the whole thing goes over the drain. It doesn't really STICK to the floor of the tub the way a suction cup holder would stick to a window. There's some stick to it, but not much. That being said, my hair hasn't been getting under it and slipping into the drain. It's very flexible. I didn't measure anything before getting this, but my drain looks pretty average. Because it's so flexible I'd imagine it fits most reasonable drain sizes.I've been using this for about 2 months now. Every week or so I need to pick it up and get some hair out from between the layers and from around the edges. I picked it up yesterday and noticed it was getting a little dingy, so next time I clean my bathroom, I'll be sure to drop it into a little bleach solution and get it nice and clean again.Again, for reference, I have thick curly hair that has clogged many tubs! It's just me using this shower. In an ideal world, I would have been able to get a nice metal drain that was attractive and didn't need any special cleaning other than cleaning your shower like normal. But if you have a tub like mine and that isn't an option, this is perfect alternative that is cheap, functional, and low-maintenance.

works wellI
This is the second set I've ordered since the others worked so well. We added a shower recently and I wanted to prevent all the hair from clogging our drain or septic field. Although the little suction cups don't stick in my showers/tub due to the size of the drain or the texture around it, they stay in place fairly well and collect so much hair!

Great product
Just wish it had more suction cup base so hair didn’t sneak underneath

A little difficult to stick
They get the work done but they are a little difficult to stick to your sink or tub. They hold on to hair really well . Mines is not able to stick fully because the drain is higher and if I push it down it closes my drain, so just keep that in mind.

Not Perfect, but Effective
I have an old clawfoot tub and needed something to keep the hair and other gunk from clogging my drain. This product won't stay suctioned to the tub, but still keeps most of the hair from going down the drain. It will stay in place for the most part, but I do need to check it after each shower. Some hair does slip underneath. However, I still think it was worth the money.

Too much work
You have to have water running or have it under water to do what is necessary to make it adhere, and even then some area’s seem to lift. Three people use our bathroom so each person has to go through this process before showering. I threw mine away

The best hair trap I've found
I feel like I have tried everything out there. I had very little hope for this one as the other ones I bought had great reviews, were more expensive, had fancier designs that seemed to make sense and they had fit perfectly in or over my drain. But nope.. every single hair went UNDER the trap and clogged my shower stall again and again until I bought this product. It looks so simple and cheap.. but it fits perfectly over my huge drain. The hair swirls around in the water and twirls perfectly around the dome of the trap. Nothing gets through the strainer and down into my drain to clog it. It is a very soft material so I dont worry about stepping on it and hurting my feet. I wait until the shower is fully dry, usually the next day, and the hair just comes out all in one round piece and goes into the trash. Super simple! It is also easy to disinfect. The only con is the suction cups do not work at all. Not with my tiled shower stall at least, but honestly it doesn't ever move when I'm showering so it fits all my needs. I love this thing.

Stays in place, easy to clean, durable
This item is great for catching my short hair (2-5 inches) and preventing clogged drains. Since using I've had zero drainage issues. Even when there is a strong stream of water coming from the main spout before switching to shower, even having just a single suction adhered keeps it in place. I remove the hair at least twice a week and wash the item with soap and water, or throw in the machine with my towels once a month. It even survived the dryer! (oops). I've been using the same one for over 2 years and it's still going strong. Great product. Simple, effective. A+

Works for me
My plumber advised me to buy this type of product. My hair tends to clog up drains (and hoovers). I place the protector over the plughole and while it doesn't seem to stick, despite the suckers on the product, it did stay in place. It definitely works. It traps hair/lint stuff etc preventing it from going into the drain. You then just clean it by hand, putting the hair, etc in the bin. I will say that my shower is over the bath, so when I shower I'm nowhere near the drain. I can't say if this product will stay in place if you want to use it in a normal shower where you stand over the drain (and therefore the product).
