A friend told me about someone he knew in Glasgow who had just lost his job and was in need of a phone to stay in touch with his family that did not live in the UK. He needed a smartphone that could connect to wifi or that had data capabilities. Not having a lot of money myself, but wanting to help, I looked for affordable smartphones on Amazon and this one came up. After reading some of the reviews, I understood what some of the downsides were (plastic backing as opposed to a fully metal structure, a slightly less responsive screen). But I thought about what this guy needed: basically WhatsApp (for family) and YouTube (for entertainment during isolation). So I went ahead and bought it.I unboxed it because I wanted to set it up for the guy before giving it to him, just in case he wasn't too tech savvy himself. I removed the plastic backing and put the battery in. I charged it and it took around an hour (maybe a little more) to get to 100%. Then I connected to the wifi and tested some videos on YouTube and news sites. No problem, although I wasn't able to get the video to go full screen when I tilted the phone on its side. I think this is because I was using the default browser and not the YouTube app or a better browser like Chrome or Firefox (I didn't download any apps because I wanted to let the person I was giving this to put in his own information to access the Android app store. Apart from the question as to whether or not videos can play full screen when you rotate the screen, the rest of the phone was perfectly fine. Internet access great. Sound quality, image quality very good. Camera quality a bit middling, especially on the front-facing camera (used for selfies and chat apps), but this is a forgivable quality given the price.In the end, this phone was more or less what this person needed and what I could afford to help out with. If you're thinking of getting this for yourself because you too are on a budget, it's probably a good choice. Also a good choice if you want to get a starter smartphone for kids or have a backup if you lose or break your normal phone.

I got this for my dad. He was changing from a brick style to an actual smart phone.He has poor eyesight so I set up a feature where he can triple tap the screen and it will zoom right in for him.It's nice having him on WhatsApp and he loves the novelty of video calling us all.To be honest we've had more video calls since Christmas day than we have in our whole lives.He was just excited. It's easy to set up and use.Battery life is fair.It comes with both a case and screen protector.Perfect starter phone.

The phone arrived the next morning after i ordered it which is great! Lightweight and easy to hold, fits perfectly in my pocket! Extremely happy with the experience I have had purchasing the phone with NeoMan. Overall 10/10

The media could not be loaded.  Wow I am super impressed with this phone, please see the video I uploaded. I have bought it as a pressy for my niece as a starter phone (she’s 12)I’m actually shocked at the response time and how it initially looks on turning it on. Yes it’s lightweight and feels like a cheap phone but that’s what it is! So ideal for starter phone for a teenager or for someone maybe not so tech savvy.It has an App Store so will be able to upload desired apps and google on the home screen which is helpful.Definitely impressed

Good features but the volume was too quiet to hear calls and I had it on full volume and I do not have hearing problems.

Brought the phone thinking it would be some what decent it was awful!1) wouldn’t accept SIM card would only work on wifi2) even though it had been on charge 3 hours as it’s stated was going from 100% to 8 % every couple of minutes!Does not support any of the apps it says it does!Not fast at all very slow kept crashing! Only got the phone out the box set it up and tried to install apps but wouldn’t download any of them! This was also on wifi!Really wasn’t value for money!But Amazon were very helpful and friendly on being able to return the phone and explained how to print the labels off! Etc!All round very disappointed with the purchase10/10 for Amazon’s friendly service!

After dropping my 3 week old, contract phone down the loo (first time ever!) and not recovering from water damage without considerable expense, I needed a new phone and quick!This one surprised me in that although it was significantly cheaper than my purchased contract mobile, it has all the features I need.Firstly, it comes with a screen protector and clear case - usually the first outlay on a new phone? although i found the case a little loose, im not sure how much protection it could offer in emergencies but protection all the same :)This phone offers Bluetooth, dual sim options and a camera.Looks far more expensive than it is and with next day delivery, it got me out of an expensive predicament!Not loads of memory, but I just took the micro sd card out of my old phone although I tend to store music and pictures on my phone, I save the apps for my tablet, but with so many options to upload to cloud, I don't use loads of memory anyway.Not a phone if you're the latest iPhone user but as an affordable smartphone, this does the job perfectly 👌

I bought this phone to see how my apps work on an actual device rather than using an emulator. It's pretty easy to set it up, just plug in the battery, charge the phone and you're done.It's a cheap phone but the quality is pretty good. However, be aware that you won't be able to install the latest apps or upgrade Android to the latest version due to the outdated hardware specs. It is cheap for a reason.I have yet to figure out a way to auto-rotate the screen of the phone, which can be an issue if you're watching videos and you want to switch to landscape mode but it won't rotate.If you're using it to call, text, take photos or browse the internet, then this phone is for you. It makes a great backup phone and in my situation, a great device for testing my apps.
