There is room for improvement with the straps and how they adjust. Could easily have been designed to improve functionality for a larger variety of sizes by changing the straps to shorten more. I found a solution by twisting the straps in the back, it works fine. Good solution for us. My kiddo can play all winter in these! He’s 4, a small four. I think these run large, excited we can use these next season too. Great color and he seems comfortable. It was great! With the adjustable shoulder straps she was able to wear the same size until recently. She's now 8 and one of the shortest in her class. I recently ordered her the largest size listed (8-9). To my disappointment, it's barely bigger than the size she had. It would fit her for maybe a year.If you have a younger child, definitely buy one in a larger size and it will last a long time with heavy use. If you have an older or taller child, look elsewhere.
