Could have included more info
This is the second Laugh and Learn DVD I have watched. My husband and I are using the whole series in lieu of classes since we can't find any in our area.I thought the DVD was very well done, and it was nice that the presenter worked with real babies rather than dolls. It was a little bit distracting when the first baby cried throughout the demonstration, but I guess that's what it's really like! The presenter demonstrates most of the basics you need to know including the sponge bath, tub bath, hygiene, diaper changes, dressing, swaddling and even how to comb the hair. There was a very useful list of supplies at the end of the DVD so you know what you will need, and the use for each product was explained throughout the video. The only problem I had with the DVD is that it seemed quite short, especially considering the price. I wondered if my husband and I were shown everything there is to know about baby care. I have the Breastfeeding DVD as well, but it would help if information about bottle feeding were presented. Also, instructions for burping the baby are found only on the Breastfeeding DVD, which my husband didn't watch. It would also help to have information about how often and for how long infants should sleep, and more direction as to properly handling an infant. On the whole I am very satisfied with the DVD, and felt that the information was presented thoroughly and in a way that was easy to follow. There has been a lot of criticism regarding Sheri Bayles' presentation skills and desperate attempts to get a laugh, but I find her to be a very pleasant presenter who I would love to take classes with in real life. I think people read the "Laugh and Learn" title and think it's supposed to be highly comedic and entertaining, but I think it's just meant to suggest that you should relax and not worry too much about making mistakes. I did find myself laughing a few times, mainly because of the adorable baby "actors" in the DVD. I am happy with my purchase and glad I have this as a resource to refer back to.

Better Than "Bringing Baby Home"
Expecting our first, my wife and I have bought several DVDs related to childbirth, etc. We first chose to purchase "Bringing Baby Home" rather than "Laugh & Learn" because the reviews and descriptions made it seem much better. But we found "Bringing Baby Home" somewhat disappointing. We really liked the other DVDs in the "Laugh & Learn" series, so we came back and bought this one. "Laugh & Learn About Newborn Care" is much better than "Bringing Baby Home". More comprehensive and better presentation. Very well done like all the "Laugh & Learn" series.

Useful
Helpful to have this information at the ready for when we bring our baby home from the hospital. It covered roughly the same content as an "Expectant Parents Class" I recently paid a lot of money to attend at a local parenting center.

learned a few things
There are some great tips on here...not sure worth the money. We probably could have learned them from searching the web, but it was nice to just sit back and learn and not go finding answers. Wish it would review common rashes, signs and sysptoms of probs with newborns...but it's really proper care for newborns, bathing etc. which they teach you at the hospital too.

Short but good
This video is extremely short. However it does cover the basics and gives a lot of good info. I'm a visual learner so this was definitely a help with my first baby on the way. Minus a star because I think it's overpriced based on the length. I'd like to see a much cheaper, downloadable version.

Baby Care Review
This product is HIGHLY OVERPRICED! I was disappointed in the fact that only six items were addressed for the high price I paid for this product. There was no Q&A or anything outside of the six items covered... again highly disappointed that it is so "narrow" in it's information for the price! Once I received it and watched it - I kept asking myself "is that all of it?" Would not have purchased it had I known it was so "limited" in it's information.

First Time Mom's Must Haves
I am a first time mom and would not know where to begin to care for my new born son. This DVD not only shows step by step process of what needs to be done, but also teaches you how to safely handle a new born. How often should you give the baby a bath. How often should you cut their nails and what is safe to use on a new born.

Great video if you are simply looking for the overall ...
Great video if you are simply looking for the overall concept of caring for your newborn. As we know newborns do not come with manuals. This video helped me learn a few things. It may be a little outdated but it helped me through the process of preparing to be a first time Mom.
