Great Replacement Motherboard – Worked Perfectly Out of the Box
I recently had to replace my old motherboard, and after some research, I decided on the ASUS Prime B550-PLUS as a solid mid-range option. I paired it with my Ryzen 7 3700x, and I’m happy to report that it worked flawlessly right out of the box.Easy Setup: The installation process was smooth, and the board had no compatibility issues with my existing components. It booted up without any problems with my Ryzen 7 3700x, which was a relief after dealing with the failure of my old motherboard.Great Features for the Price: The B550 chipset provides great value, offering support for PCIe 4.0. The board also has plenty of connectivity options, including USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, which I find useful for my external devices.Solid Build Quality: ASUS has always been known for making durable motherboards, and the Prime B550-PLUS feels sturdy and reliable.BIOS Interface: The BIOS is user-friendly and easy to navigate. I didn’t have any issues tweaking settings or adjusting fan curves or enabling D.O.C.P, which is a plus for those who like to fine-tune their system. If you're looking to future-proof your build, I would recommend considering an AM5 motherboard for better long-term compatibility with upcoming Ryzen processors. The only reason I went with an AM4 motherboard is because I wanted to hand down my gaming rig to my little brother, and this was a cost-effective solution for my current needs. The ASUS Prime B550-PLUS is an excellent choice for anyone sticking with AM4, offering great value and features at a reasonable price. However, for those planning future upgrades, AM5 might be a better option to consider.

Great value for a midrange PC build
I was building a medium budget pc and this motherboard was a great fit for a reasonable price. Great quality, spacing between components was not an issue. I have had for about 5 months and haven't had any issues with the motherboard. It handles gaming well, temperature holds well with my setup, even with some modern games. I like the lighting options, while it is not essential, but it gives it a nice look. It has handled all updates, gaming, downloads, streaming with no problem or issues, great performance. This is a great value if you are a building a mid budget pc.

Best deal on an B550M motherboard, almost hassle-free installation.
I have been building computers for over 20 years, kind of like Asrock motherboards the most. Been wanting a B550 chipset so I can get REAL PCI 4.0 throughput on M.2. Installed this over the weekend and I will say I am impressed. Not a single hang or freeze. Tried 3 diff 4x4 M.2 hard drives. ONLY the Kioxia KBG8... gave me the 4.0 boost, my highest bench was 3900, up from 2800 w 3x4. I am running a R7 3700x, plugged it in and working great. The wifi driver would not load automatically thru windows. Go to Asus website and Wi-Fi drivers, click on more and download all 3 different chipsets. I think it's the 8852BE driver. Try them all, it will work eventually.

Modern speed useful for older peripherals
Great board, easy setup, functional, and like the fact that you can use onboard graphics connectors that are D-Sub, HDMI and DVI, so if you have older displays these will work just fine, along with a PS/2 mouse plug. The few complaints I have are that it didn't have very many fan headers on the board and that it didn't have USB-C Type C/A-Key header for the front panel connector, but adding an expansion card took care of that. This is a good board for a fast internet PC.

A Great Replacement Board
I updated my son's Cyberpower PC to Windows 11. Everything installed successfully, including all the updates. Then after a restart the display wouldn't come on. That Mobo was an MSI B450 Tomahawk and the LED's said VGA problem. Given the circumstance I couldn't believe it suddenly died. I tried numerous times resetting the CMOS, reseating the graphics card, reseating memory, even checked the power supply, etc.I ordered this ASUS Prime B450M-A II as an economic replacement. It arrived in 2 days and was packaged well. The price dropped 2 days after I ordered. The box has labels Windows 11 ready and Ryzen 5000 Series ready. The board comes with backplate, 2 SATA cables, a M2 screw for mounting, a driver disc and the manual. This ASUS mobo is laid out differently than the MSI. I like it better. The graphics card slot is moved over one space with the M2 slot out in the open. With this Mobo you can use a M2 with a heatsink attached. The MSI M2 slot was directly under a dual-slot graphics card. I like the BIOS flashback feature (located on the back) with this board. The BIOS is laid out well, very intuitive and easy to use.I have built several computers over the years with ASUS my go-to brand. This Mobo is a great full featured B450 motherboard for AM4 series CPU's. The BIOS is upgraded to accept Ryzen 5000 series CPU's. Simply put you're getting a great AM4 motherboard for a great price.

Excellent board.
I bought a few motherboards from other companies, including ASRock, MSI, and Gigabyte. The MSI and Gigabyte boards were nothing but trouble, and the ASRock board failed within a few days. So, I opted to spend a few extra bucks, not be a cheapskate, and get the Asus board. I should have known better—I’ve never had problems with Asus boards.Absolutely no problems whatsoever—great performance, and it includes their AI Suite, which lets you dynamically or manually adjust fan speeds, something the other boards didn’t offer. One thing it doesn’t have is a USB-C header, but it does have a USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port on the back. I just plug in a USB-A to USB-C cable, and that works fine for USB-C devices at full speed (10 Gbps), the same as USB-C, compared to standard Gen 1 at 5 Gbps.Another issue is that the graphics card sits very low, so if you're using a micro ATX case, you might not be able to fit case fans at the bottom—like in the Okino's case I have. Otherwise, it’s a great board.
