Keeps time accurately enough for me, and is more robust than expected!
I had a lightning bolt of inspiration one day to build my own clock, and after many ideas, settled on the idea of a clock that has numbers and hands that glow in the dark. Since I'm a sucker for putting LEDs on as many projects as I can, you can see that I designed it to house four LEDs (and I should have use a resistor on them, so they wouldn't be so dang bright!).This clock movement was highly rated on a Amazon search so I bought it to use for this project. After receiving I learned it was manufactured by Klockit, who seems renowned on quality clocks and components from what I've read.So I opened the package up, took the needed measurements and got to designing then printing the remaining clock parts. This movement does come with some commonly used hands, but again, I wanted some that glowed in the dark, so I designed and printed my own. Here's where my remark in the headline "More robust than expected!" comes in. I had trouble printing an hours hand and seconds hand that fit on this movement properly. The hour hand is held in place on the movement by friction alone, and my first two hour hands wound up slipping and popping loose as the movement kept time. The included seconds hand is stuck fast to a pin that's pressed into the movement. I had to carefully cut the base of the seconds hand to remove it from the pin, but my 3D printed seconds hand wouldn't stay pressed to the pin when I pushed the pin into the movement. I wound up supergluing the hand to the pin. What this all translates to is I assembled and disassembled this movement a handful of times (pun intended), and sometimes I had to use a fair amount of force. I'm happy to say that not only did nothing break on the movement, but it's still accurately keeping time!Despite my clock's imperfections, more pointedly the overly bright LEDs, I'm very proud of my effort and am grateful that this movement held up to my noob mistakes! I'm feeling sorely tempted to buy a few more of these, seeing as I have several other ideas for clock designs![A note on my photos: I apologize in advance if the photo showing the clock's LED lighting is painful to any viewers' eyes, and although you can see the numbers and hands glow in the dark in person, the filament used to print them hasn't been fully light-charged yet, so the numbers and hands aren't glowing at fully capacity. The photo I took of the clock's face in the dark poorly demonstrates the glow of the hands and numbers.]

Runs for several hours, then stops
Quits running after several hours. Will restart when bumped, but quits again later. Changing out the battery gives the same result. Simply unreliable, waste of money AND time!

Surprised as to how easy it was!
Everything was great, with exception of the dials were black and I needed white. My white dials fit just fine. Thanks

Reliable, inexpensive clock
Several years ago, the 120v Sessions clock movement in my 1959 motorcycle trophy stopped working. I replaced it with a klokworks battery powered movement and it worked several years just fine...........until it didn't. I bought another movement and installed it, and it continued to operate, again for several years, and then wouldn't keep time accurately. Once again, I replaced it with another Klokworks movement. If/when this one fails, I'll replace it with yet another. Great value, in my opinion.

Inexpensive and Functional Replacement But, be Sure to Confirm Length of Hands with Vendor Before Ordering
Purchased this as a replacement after reviewing a large number of offerings on Amazon including others by this vendor, Orange County Clocks. The movement itself appears a near duplicate of the one needing replacement.Though hands in the approximate style of those to be replaced on my clock are displayed, their size/length is not. A second hand is not included though my clock was equipped with one and the subject movement/shaft is designed to receive one. It was my mistake to think that the much longer and more sturdily crafted hands of my former movement as well as the second hand, would fit this movement, despite near identical cases (I was able to get the second hand to fit). It would be helpful if Orange County Clocks furnished this basic info as there is no means for the customer to convey requests for specific hand style of length during the ordering process. Note also that the hands supplied are extremely thin and bendable. Given that they are configured as "friction fit" (press-on) the shaft, and the fit is quite snug, care must be taken not to bend or distort them while installing. Given that movements, hour, minute and second hands are apparently not interchangeable but are quite inexpensive, I'll likely eat the cost of this one and look for another movement with a proper length set of hands to do the job right. Attached photo shows new hands installed, with original, larger hands nearby for comparison.

Replaced a similar unit and works great
It keeps great time. This unit comes from Klockit. I have bought several clock mechanisms directly from them in the past. This one replaces one that died. I bought this one through Amazon because it saved me postage. I used the Gothic hands from the original clock, but the second hand had a different shaft size. I didn't want a red second hand, so I took a magic marker to it and now it's black to match the other hands. The Q-80 is a standard mechanism and can replace the guts in many wall clocks. If you are serious about accurate time keeping, get an atomic clock that uses the Fort Collins signal. They are a bit more expensive but they work great and automatically adjust for DST. This one keeps such good time that I rarely need to adjust it, so why pay more for a project clock.

Good clock, accurate, but got noisy after a few months
We had a cool, decorative clock that looked great, but the clicking every second was obnoxiously loud, so we didn't want to use that clock in our bedroom. I decided to replace the mechanism with this purchase, and it worked out great - installed easily, keeps great time, and quiet enough to use in our bedroom. The reason I'm only going with three stars is, after a few months, this quiet clock isn't so quiet any longer. We've moved the clock out of our bedroom, and it's fine in another room, it's just disappointing that it didn't stay quiet as the initial month or so.
