Still looking for better options. Pro's
I purchased 8 of these for a large project. They're about average. Still looking for better options.Pro's:1 - It does put out a considerable amount of IR light. I am using 8 of these around a large property. Mounted ideally about 20 feet up, they are able to cover very well up to 100 ft x 100 ft area.2 - Does include a 3 Amp power supply.Cons's:1- Everything ELSE!2 - The housings are garbage. 2 out of 8 units were cracked.3 - The mounts are the cheapest metal of any product Ive ever seen. We stripped out 4 of the 8 housings and had to use our own set screws. If you are in the CCTV business, these will absolutely be the biggest annoyance how weak the threads are for adjustment.4- Paint chipped of very easily. Not sure how long these will last near the ocean or humid areas.5 - I wish it included a water proof base plate for the power connector. The power connector is exposed outside of the unit on a 1 foot cable. Makes no sense.

Great for the first year. 2 years later 2/3rds of the LEDs are dead. ALL LED lighting products fall far short of their claims.
Very strong light for the first year. But after the first year 1/3 of the LEDs (usually the top row) are dead. After the 2nd year, another 1/3 of the LEDs are dead. We bought four of them, put 3 into service. 2+ years later ALL THREE are running only the middle row of LEDs (5) while both the top and bottom rows are dead on all three. Clearly a design/engineering failure. The pattern is wide, but it's not very uniform. It still have a large white spot in the middle. I have purchase other wide pattern that have a very uniform distribution of light, however they are 3x the cost of this one. When I first started buying LED/IR lights on Amazon the CMVision products were much better than the rest, and they do last longer than the rest. But there is seriously something wrong with the technology as all LED products I've purchased over the lats 7 years has very, very poor long term performance. About 1/3 of all LED lighting products are still performing many years after original purchase, but about 2/3rds of them die WELL BEFORE the industry claim of 5-10 years of service life. Some brands do better than others, but all fall very far short of the promises made by the LED lighting products companies.

I have had this running for over a year, nightly. Very wide throw, and good down range throw for observation(100yards), but probably not enough illumination for identification over 40 yards.Running well no LED out yet that I have seen. It is mounted under and eevee .

It lights up my driveway very well, which is maybe an area 80 feet by 60 feet. It doesn't quite cover the FOV of my 2.8mm camera. The light on both sides is rounded off. The red glow at night is rather visible and may be OK for scaring off prowlers.

Iluminates at 200'
The IR flood light has been in use for 67 days and working as advertised. Easily illuminates objects at 200'. Works best in total darkness... stray ambient (visible) light will decrease your IR camera's CCD sensitivity.Update November 2019:After 30 months, 33% of the LEDs failed (top row LEDs) on the fixture. Changed rating from 4 to 2 stars.

Solid product for the price. I deployed 2 different CMVision illuminators within the last 3 years, and all is well. Make sure you use the correct gauge low voltage wire if running the illuminator out to a pole or away from house/building to avoid voltage drop. these things are disposable when compared to the price of an Axton or Bosch IR illuminator.

Good Lights
Very nice lights. 60% odds you'll get one that works and lasts. I just got 4, 1 was bad.
