Awesome sound great

These speaker housings are excellent. Only thing that can be done better is to incorporate a feature to clip the harness plug on the rear of the housing, but it is not an issue to just let it dangle. For those with the "premium" Alpine sound system, be aware that the signal going to the knee speakers does not have the highs, so two way speakers with tweeters are useless. I realized this after I had already installed the speakers and pods. Shop for decent mid range/ bass speakers, and don't worry about the highs since the dash top tweeters got that covered. I used sound deadening material and polyfill. These pods and new speakers (Alpine R-S65.2) made a huge improvement to my 2020 JT Gladiator. I just wish I had done this sooner.

Now the job itself to actually get to replace these speaker buckets is a time, but these buckets go right in like factory on my '21 JL Sahara Unlimited. If you do want to use 6 3/4" speakers, you will have to trim the tabs off in the hole to fit them so decide beforehand which size you want. You do also have to reuse the factory grommets off the old speaker buckets which can be annoying to pop out, but no big deal. Would certainly make the kit easier if it included new grommets.

With these 6.5" Speaker Pods you can now upgrade with any 6.5" Speaker on the Market. It also comes with (2) speaker adapters for Plug and Play Installation. A must have when upgrading the sound in your Jeep.
