Level Lock - Touch Edition

I leave and enter my house very frequently, as my parents live next door and this lock is EXTREMELY convenient to easily lock and unlock my door. My parents also like to visit me quite often, and in the past, I’d have to stop what I was doing, run to the door, unlock it and let them in. Not anymore. I can use the app to unlock it and let them right in without having to get up 50 times a day. It’s very minimal (which is primarily why I bought it), looks super stylish and does away with any useless gimmicks. All features baked-in I use (i.e. touch to lock, geofence features, homekit, etc), and they work 9/10 times. There is the occasional hiccup where the lock doesn’t respond right away when approaching after leaving the geofence and returning, and the app would occasionally display the lock being unlocked when it’s actually locked, but those moments are few and far between. This is honestly the best smartlock I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning and would gladly pay the price over and over again to have it.

I had really high hopes for this product. I was excited for a lock that I could control with my phone and also still have the option of using a key. But it just didn’t deliver at that level. Installation was simple, and mechanically the lock functioned very well. Smooth glide, not noisy, and looks great. However, out of the box the key cards did not work. (To Level Lock’s credit, I was sent new cards immediately.) The lock/unlock function with phone or touch was inconsistent. One time it would lock, but than not unlock. Or it would lock/unlock for one user, but not another. It worked with my phone, not for my wife’s phone, next time, worked for my wife, but this time not for me. Then came the next ding; 10 days after install, with no warning messages, door would not unlock, notification of “Dead Battery”. It went from working, to not working without any warning that the battery life was at its end. Fortunately, I had access to the house through the garage. (Again to Level Lock’s credit, customer service reacted very quickly to my complaint. I sent them requested info and photos, and they very quickly responded and notified me they would send new batteries.) The Final straw; Wife took out the recycling, door locked behind her when she shut the door. No keys, no phone, no reaction to touch…no way to open the door! I really wanted this lock to live up to its advertising. I liked the simplified idea of having control over my phone, but after a few weeks of being frustrated by its functionality, decided to remove it and put the old lock back in. Don’t know if I just got a bad unit, or if it just needs some bugs worked out, but I was done being locked out of my home. Level Lock Customer Service - 5 STARS ALL DAY LONG! Level Lock product - Sorry I just can’t give it more than 1 STAR. Been a very frustrating trial period.

Now that I'm a homeowner, I've always been interested in how I can use technology to my advantage around the house. I searched far and wide for a smart lock that would fit our needs without taking over the door, or come with a steep learning curve... any learning curve beyond turning a knob or using a physical key can be a bit much. I was stopped in my tracks when I found the Level Lock Touch. It solved all the specific needs I had and looked great as well. Natively supporting Apple HomeKit was a HUGE plus for me! Many smart locks just don't support HomeKit. It's the size of a standard deadbolt that you'd find on any normal entry door. A lot of smart door locks are noticeable because of the massive presence they can have on the front and back of your door. This one doesn't take up any additional space. The smarts are all built within the standard space of a deadbolt and the battery is even cleverly hidden within the bolt itself. I was skeptical at first that this deadbolt would be as strong as others, but it turns out just about ever deadbolt is hollow inside the actual bolt itself. At least this one contains a battery too! More solid than others, based on that alone. Installation was easy... I do wish it would work with certain trim plates. That's the ONLY reason I gave "Easy To Install" 4 out of 5 stars. It looks fine without a trim plate, though I would like the option. The lock has been flawless with integration into Apple HomeKit, one of the most secure smart home platforms. Asking Siri to lock/unlock works well and when we need it. It's also great to be able to walk out and merely touch the lock to lock it - without having to grab my keys. Inside, it's just a simple twist of the knob, or again, just ask Siri. You can even send guest invites to family/friends that may need access to your house. It's really quite flexible and I always know if my door is locked or not. Level Lock's technical support is fast and responsive. They're always looking into ways to improve their product, and it's nice to see Apple throwing their support behind this product as well, highlighting it on their HomeKit product page. If you get this lock, and you appreciate svelt smart technology that doesn't detract from the style and function of your existing home features, you won't be disappointed.

the lock looks great, premium quality. when it works, it works well. but there are a bunch of small annoyances that bring the overall score down. 1) spotty bluetooth. when i approach the door sometimes it unlocks 10ft, sometimes 2ft and sometime not at all until i “awaken” it. 2) seeing the lock que only when connected to the lock at home. i can’t see who or when the last time the door was unlocked while away. 3) alerts. NONE! i wish it alerted you when someone unlocks the door when you’re away for such an expensive lock it lacks in my opinion

Muy fácil de instalar ya que sustituye a una normal y fácil de configurar con su aplicación solo que todo viene en inglés ojalá y sacaran su versión en español

This smart lock came with everything needed with the exception a small screw driver. I’m impressed with the features this lock comes with and it was a nice touch including the key cards along with physical keys. It’s also nice to see that this lock integrates with HomeKit as well as the Ring Alarm system whether second gen or their new Ring Alarm Pro

Tuve que modificar mi puerta para instalarlo, cuando está conectado funciona bien, pero el teléfono deja de reconocerlo muy frecuentemente
