Maclaren Techno XLR Stroller, Dove/Orchid Smoke

Terrible. (1) Impossible to figure out how to open or collapse the stroller without reading the manual; (2) very heavy; (3) does not lock in collapsed position; (4) the buckle in the middle is extremely difficult to buckle up as it fits very badly and the straps always get twisted - comes in very handy when the child is screaming and it takes 5 excruciating minutes to buckle him in; (5) The covering always gets loose; (6) you cannot put anything heavy in the underbin as it unbuttons; (7) the leg support is not adjustable for the highly of the kid; (8) 8 wheels are completely unnecessary to the amount of weight it carries; (9) the breaks don’t work well; (10) too many unnecessary and unfunxtional hooks, buttons, straps, latches, and framing; (11) way too expensive for the value of the product. Would not even give 1 star.

Well made but on the heavy side and the collapsible mechanism is clumsy. Full disclosure: I bought this as an umbrella travel stroller, which is it definitely NOT suited to. This is an urban assault vehicle and beautifully made for that purpose.

While the stroller is nice, lots of space for toddler to sleep in, but very poorly designed. The canopy band is made from plastic and it broke, really bad customer service, no phone number you can call, only emails. Emailed many times and can't get Maclaren repair centers to repair it, they are out of parts. I've had this stroller only 2 years and was barely used, since I used it only for church and family gatherings.

It has been almost 6 years I have purchased it for my first son. I never wrote a review but I really think it deserves 5 stars. It was much used with our 2 sons. I never had to buy any other stroller. My wife and I simply love this thing and it is fun to look to all pictures of our kids and this is the only thing that never changes over the years. We only cleaned the fabric of the entire thing for once or twice and seriously it looks like new. All the components are very tight, it still runs like new, stable and smooth. The design is pretty classic but is never outdated. We made uncountable travels, sending the stroller with the bags and you all know how airlines treat your stuff, right?, this one is really tough. One of the best part of it is the folding capability and it’s light weight. We are fans of it and for sure if we have a third baby this thing will stay with us.
