Yes of course. Just don't linger with the flame on the cup or the candle glass for too long.

Do you need tools to adjust the flame?

Hi, Flame adjustment valve is found at the bottom of the lighter, It may be turned by hand after lifting the recessed semi-circular handle. This does not require other tools.

is the flame adjustable to a very low (small flame) level?

Yes it’s adjustable, I use this for candles an and the BBQ. Honest it’s so much better than the plastic lighters and is a great product.

Bought these but neither of the 2 will hold the charge of gas Flame ok for first light then doesn’t work at all. Bought new Butane gas refill
