Be careful what you’re using it for
Be careful what you’re using it for. If you’re using these spoons to stir coffee, I would imagine it’s better than using plastic for the environment. But because of the flatness of the spoon, it’s not possible to use it for soup or something that would require more of a bowl type shape at the end of the handle. My other issue is what it’s made of. I see a lot of new disposable were made of bamboo which is very sustainable, I don’t understand why they would need to cut down birch trees instead. So you’re better off using these then plastic, the price seems to be reasonable, and as long as you’re not looking for that spoon to hold anything you should be fine.

Knife doesn't cut much but still good for many things. Sturdy enough. Home compostable
This review is for the knives- I can't find any info on country of manufacture (illegal in the US)- It says compostable on the listing but not on the pkg, and doesn't specify backyard or special facilityI looked it up, the last time I got an item from this brand: It's best in commercial compost facilities, taking approximately 45-60 days, approx 90 days in a home compost (depending on heat, rate of turnover, etc.) So yay.Be nice if people who claim to care about such things, would put that info on their products. No real info on their website either. They call their product line a "portfolio" and the only things there are palm leaf products. These aren't quite as good at cutting as other brands I've tried, but they're perfectly fine for spreading or such. The serration is just too smooth, it's no better than ripping the food apart with your hands heh. It'll work for certain things, like maybe eggplant (yuck), ice cream cakes, desserts, casseroles, etc.I don't find wooden utensils particularly "elegant" but they look just fine to me.These do have that woody taste, like licking a popsicle stick. Ew. A knife isn't really something you'd need to suck on, though, so it's not as much of an issue. They're plenty sturdy for the types of food I mentioned above. Nicely smooth.I can't go more than 3 stars for a knife that can't cut much, but for the items I mentioned, it works perfectly fine.Don't forget to use the Smile.Amazon.com address - It's an Amazon program where many everyday things you buy will generate a small donation from Amazon to the charity of your choice. Awesome for Covid times!
I took these to work where I am a teacher and absolutely love them because I no longer have to wash my spoon I can dispose my spoon and not feel guilty about ruining the environment. I’ve also got a class that always forgets their spoons and now I can hand these out to students guilt free. They are super sturdy and great quality for something that’s disposable. It takes a little getting used to that it’s not plastic but the texture Is fine and you get used to it quickly. I will definitely be buying more of these when I run out!

I Wood Pass
These Verde Planet 6 inch Disposable Wooden Forks are biodegradable and therefore, earth friendly. However, they are not particularly mouth friendly. They are basically made of the wood you may have experienced with popsicle sticks. Some of the handles have little rough edges and the fork part tends to stick in my mouth because it is dry and feels like it is absorbing moisture from my mouth. I would not give these to my grandchildren because they can be broken fairly easily and the break is not even but has jagged edges and splinters. Yes, these would be useful for traveling because they can be tossed and are better than nothing. However, I don't enjoy using them. They are simply an accommodation that is earth friendly.

Eco-Friendly and Easy Cutting
These wooden knives are a change of pace from the traditional plastic or metal knives. They’re actually very thin, and the wooden material makes it sturdy while holding them. I was expecting a flimsy feeling, but it seems I was corrected. Cutting foods, such as desserts, can be done with ease and all you have to do is throw them in the trash afterwards(due to them being disposable).Long story short, these wooden knives are eco-friendly and pie-friendly :)

Kind of Dry
I like the idea of the biodegradable, but if you are thinking these are like smooth plastic, than you may want to bypass these. These are dry, like sticking a dry popsicle stick in your mouth, and no, they never seem to get "wet." I will use these up, they don't over bother me, but they are not a preference, and I will take them with me when I go to outside picnic type scenerios where I'm going to eat outside. But in the house? I'll just keep washing dishes.

There's something so enjoyable about eating with a sturdy wooden spoon.
I really dislike plastic eating utensils. How often has the knife broken in half when being used? The "mouth feel" of plastic, is not pleasant. These wonderful natural, sturdy, wooden spoons feel great in the hand and are a premium quality for eating food. They are 100% biodegradable. Plan to use these for box lunches, parties, picnics, or anytime you need a disposable spoon. These are top-of-the-line.
