It covers well down to above the knees so is great when you need to sit on your tail on a wet surface. It's decently stylish for a rain jacket. The zippers are not cranky, they work. The zippered pockets are really nice for a phone and keys. I didn't have any problem with rain coming through the wrist cuffs as some reviewers mentioned (the cuffs are adjustable with Velcro closures). Several reviewers said they felt this jacket runs small. To help other purchasers, a large fits a 38" bust and size 10 - 12 through the hips easily, with a hoodie on underneath for warmth.
