With the coming cold weather, this is a definite must for me as I have a very low threshold for the cold! This is really nicely packaged. I would recommend when removing this to let it air out a bit, wash it, then let it air out for a bit before using it. It is not entirely air sealed and I would recommend just running it through the wash! You do not have to remove any piece that is inside the blanket (it also would be impossible). You just need to make sure to remove the controller and the power cable. There will be a port piece still left in the blanket. You cannot remove this but it will be okay in the wash just make sure the port is dry before plugging it back in. The rest should be fine to run through the wash according to instructions. I washed it right out of the box with cold water. I normally do not like to run this material through the dryer as it makes the material feel not as soft and lint accumulates on it. For the best result, I prefer to just air dry this. That being said, the material is pretty soft before and after the wash. It has a nice smooth feeling that does not irritate my skin or anything. It does not have any retaining marks or anything. I am very happy with that. It also did not fade in color from what I can tell. One small thing to note is that with the heating component the blanket will feel a little heavier than your usual blanket (not close to being a weighted blanket). It actually prefer the heaviness but some people may not. The beige color looks great and fits my wall color and decorum at home. The bag it comes in makes it great for storing on the off season. It is pretty durable bag so I just fold it up and put it back into this bag. Again it is a bit on the heavy side but it looks nice where I can just put this on top and lay it out when making my bed. There are several heating modes and it does not get hot to the point of hurting anyone. It does not damage the material either. The controls are pretty simple and give you enough slack to keep the sides down when pulling the control box towards you. The control is pretty well built. It is not a touch pad or anything and you need to press down on the button to change it. You can increase the temperature or set a timer. It will automatically turn off after two hours for safety. The plug is on the side closer to your feet so you do not have to worry about getting tangled in the power cord. There is also a good length to the power cable so you do not have to worry about it not reaching the blanket. There are also safety put into the blanket so it will shut off every hour to keep from over heating, damaging the material, and hurting you. After using this for the first few nights, it really helps my work out. I really helps my joints and also my leg circulation so I do not feel pain from standing all day long. It also does not stick to my skin even if I sweat a little bit which is nice. Overall this is a good blanket to have. It feels soft, has really good heating, does not get tangled, and it keeps me warm at night so I am able to fall asleep easier. No more waking up in the middle of the night to a cold blanket and bed. I actually preheat a little bit before bed so I can have a really cozy and toasty bed. I would recommend starting low and increase the temperature to your comfort. I normally do not like starting high and decreasing temperature since it takes time to lower the temperature. It also feels uncomfortable during that time.

I love this blanket, (my cats love it too, lol) and I have tried a few different kinds. Both sides are very soft. The temp control device is easy to use, and has a variety of setting combinations for heat level and time, which is handy. At first, I wasn't sure the blanket was heating up enough, because I had to set it to the max of 20, but I think it just needed to get going for first-time use. Also, I put this blanket on my bed on top of a sheet, another blanket, and a comforter, and I pre-heat it while I'm getting ready for bed. When I crawl in, the sheets are not ice cold (even through all these layers) - which is wonderful! At first, I set it to 20, then when I'm in bed, I knock it down to 10 or 15 - depending on how chilly the room is. I have the timer set to only go for an hour or two, but it will auto-shut off after 10 hours on it's own. I love that if I wake up chilly in the middle of the night, I can reach over and turn on this blanket and it's toasty warm very soon! Also, I was specifically looking for a blanket that had a nice long cord, and a plug at the foot of the blanket. This blanket delivers both! I want to get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and not be dealing with a cord hanging over the bed across my path. This cord is long enough to go from where it is attached at the foot of the blanket, under my bed to the temp controller (which I keep under the edge of the bed - by the head of the bed - but could easily reach up onto my nightstand) then has a separate cord coming out of the controller that extends over to the outlet on the wall. Genius! Other blankets to not offer this! I can curl up in this blanket while I sleep, and it is comfortable. Sometimes I feel the wires, but it doesn't bother me too much - I can also just make an adjustment to my covers, and it's all good. I have not washed this blanket yet, but I will update my review as needed, when I do.

I've been a dedicated heated blanket fan for many years now and this is by far my favorite for several reasons.It does all the usual things - it's soft, the color is nice. The heat ranges from 1 - "I imagined that someone breathed nearby" to 20 - "I'm sleeping on a sand dune at high noon on a cloudless day in July" so you can fine tune exactly what you want, and the controller is easy to read and use. But it's also got some great features that I haven't seen elsewhere - I really like the preheat button, which gives you a short burst (I want to say 30 min) of extra heat before going back to where you have it set. My very favorite though is that it's compatible with a smart switch or timer. I have mine set to come on when the sun goes down so my bed is always warm by the time I get into it. Heaven. Blankets with native smart features are way more expensive so I'm very happy with this one.What really sets it apart though is the customer service. It's got a FIVE YEAR warranty my friends. In the three years I've had this I've gotten two or three replacements and each time has been quick and painless. I don't even mind that they stopped working - I haven't found a heated blanket that lasts longer than a year or two, so it's par for the course, but knowing that I can go five years between paying for a new one makes this a no brainer. When my five years is up and the last replacement dies I'll happily pay for this brand again, they've earned it.

Loved this blanket until my dog chewed up the connection to plug in. This blanket is so soft and it was so warm. I loved it so much I bought another and he did the same thing. I still have two very soft and comfortable blankets now that worked amazing until I couldn’t use as heating element anymore. I liked these so much I gave as Christmas presents to my children.

I really love this blanket, although it's so warm that even with the temperature off, I'm super warm. The softest blanket I've ever felt. One controller stopped working after 4 months. I contacted the company and they sent me a whole new blanket and controllers! Super great customer service.

J'habite le Québec au canada. La couverture est confortable et chauffe très rapidement. Je l'aie lavé une seule fois étant donné qu'elle ne touche pas mon corps. Pour le moment elle fonctionne très Bien des 2 côtés.
