I was skeptical but it works great!
I installed this on a bed side table drawer. Was very skeptical if it would really work how I imagined. Programming is a bit tricky, but once you get it, it works great. Battery seems to last a long time. Have both mine and wife's prints stored and it works with both. Tried over and over to get it to open with a different finger and no go. Awesome!Works exactly as it should.

Works wonderfully, great value
This was easy to install and worked wonderfully. If you look at the lengthy one star review, the issue that person must have had is due to that crappy installation job...just look that the picture they posted. I am quite impressed with this for the price. It's not the highest quality but it does the job. Latch works perfectly, holds solidly, and works as expected.

Works well
Works well but as with any other finger print lock - if your hands are wet- it may not recognize your finger print. Mine is in the kitchen so it get annoying sometimes after you wash your hands - can’t open the draw until your finger is super dry :)

Very cheaply made
This smart lock is very cheaply made, lots of plastic, the locking mechanism is very cheap feeling don't expect it to hold up to any abuse. Should work fine for keeping something locked from children but can easily be broken into otherwise.

Buy it if you need it
The media could not be loaded. Took an old dresser and made a single hidden locking drawer. Went with this finger print reader for the locking mechanism and it works perfectly. It's a little bit of a pain to get it set to multiple fingerprints but once it's set it works perfectly. I would definitely buy again.

Quality/durability issues. Failed <2 months
Context for this review: you get what you pay for. This has got to be the cheapest, easiest-to-break fingerprint lock out there. And fail it will. The design/manufacturing of the non-electronic parts is the absolute cheapest they could find. They used plastic for parts that really should have been a cheap metal. The difference becomes that the brackets will not withstand anything more than a moderate installation force or a moderate tug to open the drawer/door/cabinet. You may say “that’s fine with me.” But keep in mind that some cabinet doors use magnets to hold them shut. The difference in the amount of pull force to break the bracket and to pull away from the strong magnets is not enough!Other manufacturing flaws: Before mounting it to anything, I found that on occasion the latching mechanism will not return to the locked position. Then the next time you try to use it, the teeth grind on the gears. Not sure how much of this it can take before the internals stop working. Additionally, the this thing can only be applied to cabinets/drawers/doors that are max 1/2” thick. The tiny screws meant to hold the backing plastic holder to the fingerprint reader are just not long enough for anything more than that. I need MUCH longer screws in my application. Now I have to spend a lot of time to go find the ones I need. Or hot glue the thing in place and hope it holds. If my child pulls the hot glue loose, I’ll have to break the thing to open it. Not cool. Finally, the packaging is bad. They didn’t offer decent installation directions. You really need to be somewhat DIY to figure it out. You need to be skilled if you have non-ideal furniture you’re installing it to. They could have saved everyone a LOT of time and missed holes if they had just included a template for crying out loud.So in short the opportunity is ripe for a higher quality lock for $10 more. Seriously, manufacturer, even if you just made the plastic thicker, or used ABS, it would help. Metal FTW.The fingerprint reader itself works well! There’s been a review (or a few) that any fingerprint opens it. These people failed to read the directions even before ordering that says that this will happen until they program the thing. Hold your finger for five seconds to program the first and additional fingerprints. Then any print doesn’t open it.

Worth replacing key locks.
Works great replacing key locks. Easy to use. Replaces our wooden gun case lock with this one. I feel a lot better with it in place.

Beware! Read this before you purchase.
The media could not be loaded. Hello everyone,I wanted to share my recent experience with a seller and their product. Firstly, I was impressed with the quick and incident-free delivery of the item. As a parent, I often have things in my home that I want to keep out of my children's reach, so I was excited to try out this lock for a drawer in the bedroom side table.Upon unpacking, I discovered that the item was securely wrapped in a very durable plastic bag sealed with tape. I must say, I would love to know the name of this packaging material, as it was quite challenging to open. After a bit of struggle, I finally reached the box, which seemed rather generic and looked like it was used for different variations of this lock. It turns out there are actually 11 different models available in various colors, which I found out later. The first thing I did was take out the manual. However, I felt that it could benefit from some revisions as it lacked important details, leaving me with a lot of guesswork. Even the instructional videos had some missing information. To make matters more confusing, there was one item included in the package that I had no idea where it was meant to be used.Moving on, I attached the button to the latch base and plugged it in to charge. Although the red light turning off indicated that it was fully charged, the directions didn't explicitly mention this. So, I returned after a few hours to check and assuming it was done charging, I began programming the admin fingerprints as well as my wife's. It started off well, but after programming the admins, all subsequent attempts resulted in a red fail light.Despite this frustration, I was still willing to give it a chance and started testing to ensure its functionality. At first, it seemed to work great, so I proceeded with the installation process. I drilled the front hole for the button and aligned everything properly. However, I encountered two problems. Firstly, the back plate that was supposed to secure the button to the drawer front didn't work because the button housing was too short. Secondly, the catch needed to be installed further back than I was able to due to the design of the furniture piece. However, I made some modifications to the furniture and managed to resolve that issue.Once fully installed, I wanted to test and ensure its security. After making a few adjustments to the catch's location, it seemed perfect. However, I soon noticed a problem with the latch mechanism that secures the drawer. Every time I tested it, it fell short of reaching the fully secure position by a few millimeters. Eventually, it couldn't extend enough to latch onto anything. Also fails to register when pressing the button as seen in the video. Despite reaching out to the seller twice, I have not received any response, even after waiting 48 hours between each attempt. As a result, I decided to write this review and contact Amazon to initiate a return. My advice would be to thoroughly test the product and ensure it works flawlessly at least 20 times before making any permanent modifications to your furniture.Thank you for reading and I hope my experience helps others in making an informed decision.Until Next TimeDeleted User. iO
