I was surprised how "thin" the glass is, it's definitely not a heavy piece at all, but it still looks great sitting on the bar :)

There's a reason the return window for this is sooo small. You can't actually put liquor in this decanter. My husband loved it and it sat on our shelf for about a month before we put scotch in it. It sat in there for one day, and when we picked the decanter up, the bottom literally fell off and dumped our scotch all over the table. If you DO get one, use it for water only.**UPDATE**: After seeing my review, the seller offered to refund my money. I stand by my review; it's a terrible product. However, I'm glad they tried to make up for it afterward.

I bought this as a Valentine's Day gift for my husband who is impossible to shop for. He loves it!

I was given this as a gift. I filled it with rum, put it in my barware display, and the next day I heard a popping sound and then dripping. The glass is so thin that I don't think it can withstand any pressure changes caused by fluctuations in temperature. If you never plan to actually use it as a decanter it looks cool, but it's not safe to use as advertised.

I bought this decanter as a gift for my boyfriend for Christmas gift that I finally was able to give to him after he came back from over seas from deployment. Today, we finally put some alcohol in it, and it looked great. Boyfriend was so stoked and showed it off to his friends. Maybe like 2 hours later, we hear a loud sound of glass cracking. Look at the decanter and it is leaking with an obvious crack running around the bottom. We wennt to the kitchen, took the lid of and the bottom fell out and basically all the liquid inside of it exploded onto us. I am very disappointed with this. I will have to buy this decanter from someone else so my boyfriend isn't stuck with the two matching glasses I got him. Terrible item.
