I replace it easily and works great.

Decent quality for about a year+ of use
Was a direct replacement for my air purifier's original bulb. Ordered one back in September of 2024 and just burnt out again on March 2026. It's about what I expected longevity wise from it considering my purifier runs nonstop for over a year.

Read this review before returning your INOP bulb
I purchased two bulbs, one for each of my Germ Guardians. I replaced the the first bulb (after reading the Q&A section. yes, its tricky, but one you get the metal plate loose its easy). I replaced the first bulb. It was INOP. then I tried the second bulb on the same unit. Also INOP. I inspected both bulbs and one had a jiggle inside, so I figured it was bad. I tried the "good" one again facing both positions and it was still not working. So I proceeded to return both bulbs on amazon. I was surprised to get a pop-up window that said "chat with a rep before returning, over 50% of issues with this product can be resolved with a representative." Obviously, I thought that was crazy, but okay, I'll chat.To make a long story short, the rep asked me to try the new bulbs in my Other Germ Guardian. I had not done this because a bulb is either good or bad, right? But I had also read all the reviews saying these bulbs were bad from stock and I thought this couldn't hurt especially since I have a second unit.To my surprise, BOTH the jiggly bulb and the "good" bulb BOTH worked on my other Germ Guardian. Apparently, the connector socket is what failed on my first Germ Guardian, along with the bulb. After inspecting both burned bulbs, I found one to be severely dark while the other was just light brown. The darker one was the one that had the connector burned as well.I understand that most people might not have another Germ Guardian in the the house to do this experiment. But I caution people to test the connector before even buying these bulbs. If you are getting power, then go ahead and purchase the replacement. But if you are not getting power to the socket, don't waste your $. If your Germ Guardian is still under warranty, you may be able to get a replacement for the entire unit.I'm glad I contacted customer service. At least I have UV in my kids room where I need it to kill the stink of shoes :o]My office unit will have to run without the UV until I feel like investing in a new Germ Guardian.

Great Replacement UV Bulbs that made our machines work like new!
I am so happy to write a glowing review. This is for the replacement bulbs of an air purifier. The outside air in Florida, after last year's hurricanes, was "yucky" - I haven't been able to get the air quality records from the Florida department that keeps them for the EPA, though I am pretty sure that the weather-folks on TV said the air quality was yucky.Unfortunately, the outside air does not stay outside. And, personally, I would rather a machine filter that air than it fill the noses and lungs of the people in my home.We got these air filters almost a year ago. Replaced the HEPA filters once. And, now we've replaced both the filter and the UV bulb. Easy. A lot less expensive than the original machines. And, now they are like new.Just in time for the US Army Corps of Engineers to send their toxin-laden water racing down what we call the Caloosahatchee River. If this is what life will be like in our era of changing weather, at least this is a product that is both helpful and not too expensive for what it does.

I guess it's working?
Expensive but fit my old Germ Guardian . At first when installed didn't work but with a little jiggling it came on. Wasn't hard to install , you have to take the metal cover off to find it. I guess it is working , the blue light is on.

Fits The Germ Guardian Correctly
Fits my germ guardian just fine.I am good with replacing the uv-c light though many might need help.Lol…don’t strong arm the air cleaner.Keep track of all the tiny screws (put in small bowl or container) and pull the used light directly out gently. New light goes in the same. Easy does it.Good luck.Love my germ guardian air cleaners. I have five.

Good for the UV-C light when you need one!
I don't have to use this now but I wanted to have one when I need it. I do like the UV-C light.

Easy to replace
Easy to replace the burned out bulb! Just be aware that you will need a screwdriver to make the switch. I watched a YouTube tutorial which was very helpful.
