Passes the Banana 🍌 test
Greet value at current price. Did banana test to see if it produces real uv light and it browned the banana significantly in just 15 minutes. Was very strong ozone smell in room after 15 minutes. It has a series of increasing speed beeps before it turns on. Remote takes a 23a battery which is included but would have preferred a more common size.

EXTREME OZONE SMELL
I assume the bulbs kill germs as advertised. I can't measure whether it does or doesn't. But for sure, these two UV bulbs produce A LOT of ozone. My concern is that a search online for ozone results in many articles stressing cautions about ozone smell being harmful and damage to the lungs. In fact ozone generators are banned in California. I decided only to use it when away for 6+ hours and opening windows with fans blowing in fresh air. Because none of this was mentioned in the advertisement I reduced rating to 3 stars.

It smells awful after using it about 25 times.it should work more than 7 weeks for $ 79.99.
I placed my order on December 11th 2020 and about a week ago on February 5th the light started smelling really weird. It’s getting stronger.We didn’t use it much.I tried to see if I can return it but I missed my window ( January 31th).I just don’t think that a product should be good only for a couple of weeks.

Would not recommend
Ordered the product and upon receipt was defective. The unit would power on and the timer will count down but the light itself would never come on. Did a return and amazon fulfilled the return and had a new one sent to replace the first one, but alas the second unit did the exact same thing. I would not personally or professionally recommend this product to anyone.

Love that this kills germs on contact. Especially with everything going on it’s nice to have in the house we could slip it on and it will automatically kill all the germs just with the UV light. A must have.
