+++ UPDATE:After some thought, I decided to just change out my chair since it was just not comfortable and as the weather was getting warmer, the chair made me sweat so much!! I got a new mesh office chair and decided to give this cushion another chance. Yes, I bought another one after returning it XDWith the new chair, this cushion definitely keeps the chair cool and comfortable.It definitely helps with the bit of tailbone pain I do get even with a better chair.So I would recommend this for chairs that are somewhat uncomfortable but still ok, to add that bit more of comfort to it. It definitely won't work with a chair that is very uncomfortable to begin with.Updating the stars from 3 -> 4.__________________Original Review______________________________________________________________________I have a lighter colored office chair and usually other cushions are black or darker colored..and I noticed that it was causing my office chair to discolor. I was so happy when I found this had a pink option.The size was perfect. It doesn't move around and the gels kept cool.it's not too thick so I don't have to push my chair all the way down to accommodate either.It seemed like the perfect choice for me.......until I sat on it for a work day.I have pretty bad tail bone pain and was hoping this would help with it.That was not the case. After a few hours, I felt my tail bone area going numb and then painful.It's such a shame.. I am returning it and my search for a good cushion continues..

After a combination of more than 30 years of working out and counting, as well as being middle-aged, there are some activities that are simply not that comfortable for me anymore. One of those is sitting for long - or even not-so-long - periods of time on a regular chair. Just about the only type of chair I'm truly comfortable on are sofas or recliners, although those are often hit or miss for longer-term comfort themselves.In any case, it's with regular chairs, like kitchen table chairs, where I have the most discomfort. It gets to the point where it's difficult to get off the chair after sitting for a period of time because my butt hurts so much (and I don't really notice it until after I try to get up, which is probably even worse). One factor is the lack of sufficient padding, even on chairs that are lightly padded. I originally purchased this product as a cushion to try to relieve sciatica like pain. It is quite soft when you first sit upon it and does provide some modicum of "lift" if you need to reach a more ergonomic sitting position provided that you can no longer adjust your desk or chair. However, in my own situation, I did not find it to alleviate my sciatica.1. Since it is essentially a seat cushion, it provides no lumbar or sacral support,2. On a desk chair that has a leather seat, the cushion often moves around when you move around chair, necessitating continued repositioning,3. From my particular case is sciatica, I have an aggravation of the condition when pressure is put directly on the back of my lower legs (hamstrings). At first the question is quite comfortable, but as with any cushioned device the more you compress it the harder it gets. After a while I get the same symptoms that I do I don't use the pillow at all.I think it's an excellent product if you are trying to attain a more ergonomically by a mechanically supportive position by existing height, but in my personal experience does not provide any of the support I require.

I work at home full time and am also in school half time and spend far too much time sitting at my desk. I have replaced my office chair twice and was still in pain. I bought a different brand of seat cushion because I was getting terrible back and hip pain, but it was just too bulky and thick and made it worse. This is the perfect thickness and the cool gel makes it feel great. It gives me the support that I need and is really soft. Feels great, works wonderfully, and fits the chair well. It's light enough to carry and I was pleasantly surprised when I opened it and it came in a nice carrying case as well. I definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for something to help with pain from sitting.

Wasn't much good in a chair because it wasn't thick enough, but it works well for my husband in his car. Doesn't slip around which is good. Bought it for his chair. Glad he can use it in his car.

Supportive and "gel-like". But it is good on my desk chair as I work from home; needed it after more than a year of WFH and it has helped me quite a bit.Also wish there were more sizes - smaller and larger - to truly fit more chairs.

Only reason it got 4 stars is because I’ve only used for one day and it is not 100% comfortable but fairly close! No pain while driving 45 minutes to work 🙂
