PetSafe Microchip Cat Flap, Battery Powered Pet Door, 4-Way Locking and Easy Installation, Brown

Great Door! Installed in the side of the house into the garage when we adopted a neighbor’s outdoor cat. We keep it on manual mode allowing entry into and out of the garage. So far, So Good. The cat hadnt used a door before so we taped it open for a few days, enticed him into the garage with treats and and let him use the door that way for several days before closing the door. The cat figured out how to push it open by himself. :)

I purchased this product as a replacement for an existing pet door because we were regularly getting raccoons in house (eating pet food and whatever else they could find). Installation was a bit more involved in my case due to different size of the existing cutout in the laundry room door, but this was unrelated to the product itself. I was able to successfully match to our cat's chip, though that did take a little doing; I definitely advise programming before installation (as the instructions suggest) because cats generally don't like being shoved into an opening and help there while the reader reads the chip - easier when they are lying on a bed, etc.The real challenge I had was that the local raccoon population figured out how to get through the door more quickly than my cat. I'm uncertain whether they are able to get their claws under the edge of the door and simply pull it open, but that seems most likely. We are back to locking the laundry room door at night and letting the cat out at 2am when he cries.The product otherwise functions as promised; in our case at least it simply didn't provide the security we were hoping for.

We like the product, as it does what it's supposed to. It was a little difficult to adapt, as we didn't really know how to integrate with the siding on the outside (see pic). Also, our wall is made with 2x6 studs, so it took 3 tunnel extensions, then the long bolts wouldn't reach, so we had to adapt it to that. We all like the access though. It's been installed almost 2 weeks and out kitty uses it to come in from outside, but doesn't like to use it for going out. She doesn't like the click when the lock disengages, so we haven't used the auto lock yet, but she's getting used to it and should use it soon. Programming to her chip was really easy, but make sure you program it before you install it (like the instructions say) so you don't cause any trauma training the lock (or the cat).

I only used it for a day have one cat that have extra long tail and the door shut on it several times TTG I was close to hear the cry and open door.

Trying to talk to the seller to explain the product is defective it’s not working and I just get a robot and I cannot talk to anybody and it keeps telling me that my product does not qualify for a refund or a return

Montata con adattatori in maniera rapida su basculante in lamiera (tagliata con seghetto alternativo). Le mie due gatte stanno imparando ad usarla. In uscita nessun problema, in entrata (quando viene letto il chip) qualche problemino in più (per il rumore dello sblocco che all'inizio spaventava le gatte) poi , una volta capito che devono spingere la porticina tutto ok.

Die Katze hat sich super schnell dran gewöhnt und sie liebt Ihre Freiheit!Einbau war schnell und easy - wir haben allerdings auch eine Holztür.Der Mechanismus reagiert sehr schnell auf den Chip und funktioniert genauso wie es soll.Man hört die Tür schon deutlich im selben Raum und im Nebenzimmer (ohne Tür), aber für uns ist das super, da wir dann wissen, dass sie rein gekommen ist.Unsere Katze nutzt die Tür auch als Ausguck :)

Bonjour, il faut découper 25 cm de diamètre sur la porte métallique pour poser l'Adaptateur et ensuite enfiler la Chatière. Attention ne pas découper plus sinon les vis ne tiendront pas. Ce n'est pas expliqué sur la notice, que sur le schéma de découpe. Si on ne fait que le trou du diamètre de la chatière et qu'on enfile les adaptateurs, le métal de la porte empêche la détection de la puce. Les adaptateurs sont fixés de chaque côté de la porte et la chatière est accroché sur les adaptateurs. La différence entre le diamètre des 25 cm et le diamètre de la chatière permet que la chatière ne soit pas en contact avec le métal de la porte et donc fonctionne parfaitement bien.
