Sounds great! Won't damage tapa!
This came right on time, and I swapped it out for the tennis ball beater that came on my cajon pedal. It sounds much better than the tennis ball beater! So much softer! The rod is a bit shorter, but it still sits in a great spot to get a nice tone. : ) Pleased!

Good sound
I tried a few cajon beaters and found this to be best. Still not a full a sound as a hand, but much fuller/deeper bass than the LP beater that came with my LP pedal, and somewhat fuller/deeper than Meinl's hammerhead design. Jingles add a nice touch and are very easy to engage and disengage.

Perfect for occasional use
Excellent product for light use. It arrived on time and as described, just in time for me to replace my felt beater with a pair of socks over it.The sound on an average size cajon brings more bass out over a standard bass drum beater.I've used this frequently over the past few months and had to reglue the foam to the plastic backer.

Exactly the "thump" I wanted
I got this for my Meinl kit cajon. None of the other bass pedal beaters I own gave the right sound, and some of them I thought might damage the wood. This is really well-designed for a well-defined bass note. Perfect.

BEST FOR YOUR DOLLAR!!
I received this item before due. Packed well, an I'm pleased with my purchase. So buy in faith. I recommend it over the one that comes with the pedal for $149.00, because it gives a little extra, and you can shut it down, the cymbal, just to have the Beater. SW

Youre gonna need plumber tape.
Youre gonna have to put some teflon tape on the nut that holds the cymbals. It shakes loose. Would be 5 stars if they had a tighter fit.

Fine for a cajon
Works as advertised. Adjustable. Stem is shorter than most beaters, but fine for a cajon.

Ok
This is a very low sound beater. I thought it was going to bring out a more warm sound to my cajon but all it seemed to do was make hardly any sound at all.Although not good for me and my needs, it does make a sound that if mic'd up might be great. It did seem to be warmer, but muffled to almost silence. The beater looks well made, although the brand sticker keeps coming off so I gave up and left it off. Unlike a youtube review I saw about the black sheep beater, the outer part of it doesn't come off to allow a harder beater. (A bit like a mic foam is able to come off to reviel the mic itself) the description here did not mention that it would have this feature so I can only assume there are two types of black sheep beaters. This on doesn't reveal a firmer beater underneath the outer soft material. Maybe that is why it is so quiet? It only has the really soft stuff throughout! All is not lost for me as this will make an excelent practice beater for when at home. My neighbours will be greatful I'm sure. So if you need a really quiet beater, this is for you. If you need a medium or loud sound to be produced, this is not for you. If you need a practice beater that makes minimal noise to disturb people, this is for you.Although itbos for a Cajon I see no reason why it cannot be used on an accoustic bass drum on a kit.It lost a star because the beater is too soft really and you can't adjust that by taking away the outer soft skin.

Not a good product. It's flimsy
Not a good product. It's flimsy, sticks to the cajon so need to use talc. Need to now find a better model and design.

Great sound when used with a bodhran
I needed a beater that gave me a deeper, more rounded sound when using my pedal on a bodhran (frame drum); this CPB1 is perfect!

Morbido, caldo e soft, bassi puliti
The media could not be loaded.
