Came in quickly, pretty easy to install and my cats love it. The only complaint I can say about it is the locking mechanism other than that love it. Oh and by the way I ordered second one that’s how much I liked it.

This cat door is almost great. I've had it installed for about 3 weeks, one cat won't use it unless I push him through or open it clear door all the way for him to walk out. (scaredy cat), the other uses it all day and night to go exploring whenever she wants. However, the problem is that the weather stripping is coming out, and I'll have to fix that myself. It shouldn't have come unglued yet, but I see that others have had the same issue. Cold air comes in at night.

I had the handy man install and he said it was easy.

Ignore the negative reviews... We had no issues installing and it's a great addition to the home. We used this door to keep the cats' food and litter boxes away from our Huskies. We installed this in the laundry room and not only do the cats have their own space, but this door also seals in odors when a kitty takes a fresh poo! It's saved us a lot of embarrassment when we have company! If your cats don't get the concept of the door right away, watch a few Youtube videos to get some helpful pointers! They'll catch on!

Cat doors have a tendancy to stay open or pop off. The magnet on the bottom holds this one firmly in place. At first it stayed stuck open but it was an easy fix. I popped the clear door out of the already installed frame. I put oil on the part that it pivots on, and I firmly pressed on the furry strip on the edge to break it in a little. The furry strip is for insulation purposes but the tiny hairs are very stiff at first. I rubbed back and forth with my thumbs, on the top two inches on each side of this furry strip until they were softer and more pliable. I've never seen the cat door stay open again. Yet it's easy to open for the cats despite the magnet. Even our smallest kitten can push it open with no problem, yet it has held up in high vross winds and stayed closed despite the severe weather we get occasionaly. Overall the perfect cat door.

We just installed this cat door to our basement and we are very satisfied with our purchase. The door was actually easy to install and the direction were very clear and made it a simple process. We choose to remove the door flap off until the cats get use to using the door. The door is larger then I expected and gave plenty of room for our 2 cats to go in and out of. One of the reasons I choose this door was because you could actually lock it, so if you have people over and you want the cats to stay in one area you can just lock it for that period of time. I also appreciated that this company thought of the ascetics of the door. It looks clean and simple on our white door and they also include these little caps so you don't see where the screws are. Out cats started using it right away and its made our life so much easier! I am very happy with this purchase.

I was looking forever for a cat door that would fit into a sliding window but there are no models I could find. So I settled on this and decided to insulate around the open window. As far as ideas goes, this worked out great.The cat door feels solid and holds in place very well. The swinging door is very firm. My cat doesn't so much enjoy having to push so hard with his head to get in or out but because he wants what he wants he suffers through the indignity.The door also swings closed very fast and firmly, which is great for keeping the cold or bugs out. I was worried about maybe skunks or racoons figuring it out but the door needs a determined push and closes with a snap so likely a wild animal won't want to test it out.There is a bit of weather stripping around the sides of the swinging door, resembling hair, which does not keep the cold out as effectively as I would like. When I put my hand up to it (not on it) I can feel the temperature difference. However the room doesn't feel any colder so I'm going with it. I've attached a picture so you can see the weatherstipping is a bit lacking.Edited to add that the weather stripping had indeed fallen off quickly. I have glued them back on twice now.

Great for indoor use. Can’t speak to it being a door for cats going outdoors. Provides a good noise/smell barrier and the locking mechanism works great, although you should check it regularly to make sure your cat doesn’t lock themself in or out. My cat is able to move the lock from time to time.

its all nice to install and it looks good, almost perfect but when cats just learn how to use it they sometimes get their paw stuck in it! Saw it happening couple times, they try to push the door, it opens up and falls back on the paw, cat tries to pull back and his paw gets stuck between the frame and the bottom of the door. Poor thing hisses and sometimes pulls it out or kicks the door open to get himself free.It's OK once they get used to it after a week or so, but still there must be a way to make it safer.Other than that have no complaints.

Great sized, easy to install cat door, worked great for our chubby kitty! The only thing is the locks arnt very sturdy and the cats can knock them back and forth. Ours locked themselves in and out several times before we gave up and just took them off! This worked fine for us as we use this for an indoor cat door between rooms, wouldn’t so much if it were for indoor/outdoor. Otherwise it’s great! Arrived quickly!

I wouldn't have installed it myself. This is not like a catflap you put on a screen door. But a friend did it for me and it works perfectly and my cat is free to go in an out to the garage where his litter is. This can probably be installed on an outside door but here in Northern latitude I would advise against it as this lets the heat out and the cold in. It is not totally airtight. But that is ok. It is not its purpose. I am please with the purchase and I would recommend it
