Photo Sensitive - Automatic Night Light Base - Set of Three (3)

There seem to be very few options for photocell actuated night light bases on the internet, but I have found this one to work fairly well. As with most photocell bases, the light output is slightly lower than with a switched device. Diameter and height of the groove where the shade mounts seems to match other brands for easy interchangeability of older shades. I'm optimistic these will last as long as some of my older night light bases did before they finally quit working.

Was afraid that the "auto" feature would struggle with an extra-efficient bulb, but seems to work fine. It does flicker a bit during the transition times, but all of our old fixtures had the same issue - just not an easy electrical problem to solve in this price range.

I had a small, round decorative glass mosaic night light, but it had to be operated manually. I wanted an automatic dusk to dawn nightlight. The globe fit perfectly onto this light-sensing base. The problem was that the plug-in portion of this base is quite short, which allowed the plug to go into the wall socket enough to make a connection, but not enough to be secure with my nightlight globe against the wall. I've ended up breaking two decorative lights. Does this item work? It sure does. Just wish the base were half an inch longer. If you have a light that fits closely to the wall and want automatic dusk to dawn capability, this just might be what you're looking for. Would have given 5 stars for function, but there's a bit of room for improvement in the design.

These automatic light sensor night light bases were exactly what I was looking for. They perform exactly as I had hoped. The model received is even more attractive than the one pictured. They are an eggshell color, not white and the light sensor is not an "eye" but an attractive design element. I make stain glass night light designs and they mount beautifully on this style base. I would recommend this product.

I like not having to turn the nightlights on and off. (We live in the boonies where it gets freaky dark some nights.) But it flickers quite a lot in morning and evening when the natural light is in between. I've gotten used to it and ignore it, but it was annoying at first. We bought another light sensor that doesn't flicker, but I couldn't attach my nice looking nightlights to it.

I searched for this to suit a nightlight from the Frank L Wright museum. It is the one! These fixtures do not last forever, so it is wise to purchase the package of 3.

Works perfectly! The old one I had was, well........old. This one works ....like NEW!! :-)
