Excellent for fountain pen repair!
This is a well-made, inexpensive tool for gripping pens when disassembly gets a little stubborn. The coating on the working end is a bit slick though, so either rough it up a bit or use some additional gripping material to get a good hold.

Handle coating looks like soft rubber/foam in the photos, but is hard and thin on the product. You don’t want to spend a lot of time using these. That said, the coating has a good non slip texturing and the pliers are completely functional and priced right.

Perfect for fountain pen repair!
Fountain pen gear heads pay crazy amounts for this very basic tool. I use this to unscrew tight grip sections from my fountain pens for disassembly and repair. It keeps my delicate pens safe thanks to the rubber on the prongs, is super easy to grip even in my small hands, and wraps around everything from Sailors to Platinums to vintage pens with ease. If you’re into fountain pen repair, this makes your job so much easier and fits the work perfectly! Would recommend.

Excellent for Vintage Pen Repair
Disclaimer: I do not use this tool for it's marketed purpose, rather, I use it for vintage fountain pen repair. I am writing this review because I know many other pen repairers will be looking for this exact same tool, and it is considerably cheaper here on Amazon than with other online retailers. Nice solid gripping material on the end, and durable handle construction. I am very pleased with the function of this tool, and the size is spot on for how I use it. This item is sold all over the internet as "section pliers". If you figured out they were really spark plug terminal pliers you deserve the less-marked-up price.

Terrific Tool for Fountain Pens!
As other customers have noted, this is a very helpful tool for disassembling and reassembling fountain pens. I just purchased a second one, as I encountered a nib so stubborn that no amount of coaxing would budge it from its housing. I ended up using both pairs of pliers, one in each hand, to finally extract it. If it weren’t for these tools, that nib would be in there forever. As also mentioned, the handle grips could be a bit more comfortable, but overall I’ve found this to be an extremely useful tool.
