Amazing taste
The best ”pejibayes” peach palm fruit ever. Just peel them. Add a little of mayo and with a cup of coffee it’s an amazing combination!! They are as good as the fresh one that you can find in Costa Rica!!(by the way this one comes from Colombia)

Mislead by description. Not tasty and very watery!
My father has made homemade thick preserves in heavy syrup. He just turned 100 and he’s not cooking much anymore. I ordered these because they look like they would be a reasonable facsimile of what my father used to make at home. The figs in this jar are little green watermelon shaped objects that don’t resemble the fig. We had here in Texas. But that’s not the real problem. They don’t taste great. Texture is unappetizing. Too much sugar water, and the syrup is extremely thin. The big joke is on the bottle where it says “in heavy syrup”. That’s misleading — and these figs are not worth eating. Sorry.

More savory than sweet. I was used to the kadota figs in syrup which were more satisfying for me as a treat.
